Apothic Wines, known for their bold, intense blended wines that combine Old World intrigue with New World sophistication, is excited to announce the return of Apothic Dark. Its secret blend highlights unique and uncommon grapes to create a mysterious wine that is evocative of the romance found in darkness. This red wine blends dark fruit flavors of blueberry and blackberry with opulent notes of coffee and dark chocolate for a rich, yet silky smooth, wine experience.
To celebrate the return of Apothic Dark, Apothic Wine is convincing the world to “Go Dark” with its #GoDark campaign. The #GoDark promotion kicked off on September 24 when an impromptu dark parade descended on downtown Austin. Onlookers helping to “Keep Austin Dark” joined more than 50 mysteriously cloaked performance artists and Apothic enthusiasts in a procession that originated from Congress Bridge and culminated with dark revelry at a historic downtown theater.

The Dreaming Tree Wines, a California wine brand from award-winning winemaker Sean McKenzie and musician Dave Matthews, is proud to announce it has hit $1 Million in charitable donations to environmental organizations The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters in support of reforestation and conservation, a goal it set out to achieve six years ago when the brand was launched.
The Dreaming Tree began with a mission to create sustainably produced and packaged wines, as well as ensure that a portion of proceeds from every bottle purchased benefits organizations on the front lines of environmental conservation by planting trees and protecting the nation’s forests. “The more work we can do like this in towns and cities around the world, the more we can change the outcome of the future of those communities,” says The Dreaming Tree Wines co-conspirator Dave Matthews. “I really feel grateful that there are organizations like The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters that can turn this into a reality.”

For three decades, Bonterra Organic Vineyards (“Bonterra”) has been inspired by the purity of organic fruit grown in its Mendocino County vineyards. Celebrating its 30th year of organic farming in 2017, Bonterra has evolved from a niche label catering to a small but passionate audience to the U.S.’ leading wine made from organically grown grapes, with year over year growth significantly outpacing the broader wine category. Today, Bonterra will be recognized as American Winery of the Year at the annual Wine Star Awards ceremony hosted by Wine Enthusiast magazine in Miami, Florida. It will be the first time the American Winery of the Year award is bestowed on a vintner dedicated to organic farming, and signals the blossoming acclaim and popularity of this once-niche segment of the wine landscape.
