The second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival closed a triumphant weekend, September 21 and 22, after more than 10 hours of back-to-back diverse performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as a number of unprecedented collaborations by superstars across musical genres. Ryan Seacrest kicked off the festival Friday night at MGM Grand in Las Vegas with performances by artists No Doubt, Miranda Lambert, Bon Jovi, Jason Aldean, Lil Wayne, Swedish House Mafia, Usher, Green Day and Rihanna; the festivities continued Saturday evening with P!nk, Brad Paisley, Calvin Harris, Enrique Iglesias, Mary J. before recording "shepherd´s song" Conny Plank took a long break to mix a Kraftwerk-concert in the Hamburg Markthalle. When he returned he brought a lot of friends with him and up in smoke we went
- that night we really forgot to record the 6 minutes jazzy part of the song; the only thing left is a real strange final chorus, that everybody in the studio at that time( about 3 a.m) who joined in spontaneously
the next morning we departed for our hometown. all I remember is:

A party that started at 8,000 feet high and thousands on-ground looking up into the sky, ended as the most intense party on earth, especially for MaryJo Villar from Houston who jumped off the Takis helicopter and skydived into the by-invitation-only event.
