On Wednesday, April 6, Viva® Brand teamed up with Hollywood actress and home/ DIY expert, Monica Potter, to host a dramatic clean-up benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Ventura. The event, held at Avenue Thrift & Vintage Store in Ventura, CA, demonstrated how Viva® Towels can transform used, forgotten items with just a thorough cleaning. Donated household items ranging from kitchen appliances to outdoor patio furniture were expertly cleaned with the unique textures of Viva® Towels and then donated to 22 deserving families across the Ventura community. The effort jumpstarts a national push to “Unleash Clean” across the country.
Potter served as the Captain of the Viva® Clean Squad, motivating over 40 volunteers to “Unleash Clean” by scrubbing, polishing and shining up donated items from the kitchen, bathroom, living room and patio, showcasing the strength and durability of the towels. Viva® offers a choice of two types of everyday towels that work like cloth to stand up to any cleaning job in your home. Viva® Vantage® has a scrubby texture, great for shining stainless steel appliances and scrubbing grime off stovetops or patio furniture, while Viva® Towels have a signature soft and smooth texture for cleaning surfaces like countertops and coffee tables. To ensure a green event and minimize waste, Viva® Towels partnered with the City of Ventura to use natural household and eco-friendly cleaners so the towels could be composted afterwards.

This is my 2nd song for 2017 .... I have a best friend who I go cruising with every weekend and we listen to each others music "What we've accomplished in 1 week" and he believes that this is my best song to date. I guess that I'll find out soon enough what the good people of Youtube think. With my luck, there will surely be some who will think that this is a video about flowers and they'll tell me to next time, include chrysanthemums.
Lyrics
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I love you just as everybody do.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I see you as I shout "Peekaboo."
Jenny Jenny lives in the poorest part of town. She has no bike or no way to get around
but when she walk's the streets of the town to buy her bread. lords and kings politely bow their heads to
Jenny Jenny, there's so many fellas after you. Jenny, I'm just one of many boys in love with you.
I confess, I'm so in love with "Little yodel lady who? Little Yodel Lady you.
Little yodel lady, little yodel lady, Little Yodel Lady Hoo.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I love you just as everybody do.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I see you as I shout "Peekaboo."
Jenny Jenny sits on a bench in the square, feeding doves and pigeons everywhere
but when she takes her bread and lays it to the ground, all the doves and pigeons gather round to
Jenny Jenny, there's so many fellas after you. Jenny, I don't think there's anything that I can do.
cuz I'm a mess and so obsessed with "Little yodel lady who? Little Yodel Lady you.
Little yodel lady, little yodel lady, Little Yodel Lady Hoo.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I love you just as everybody do.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I see you as I shout "Peekaboo."
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I love you just as everybody do.
Yo Jenny, know Jenny everywhere you go Jenny, I see you as I shout "Peekaboo."

“With the launch of GrandRevølution, we have dramatically reinvented the design and construction of dress footwear,” says Jack Boys, Chief Executive Officer at Cole Haan. “We have re-engineered traditional dress silhouettes in a way no dress footwear company has since the invention of the Goodyear Welt in 1869. Today, the Ad Council and national nonprofit Futures Without Violence launched a national public service campaign called #TeachEarly highlighting the pivotal role that men play in preventing domestic and sexual violence. The campaign launch coincides with the release of the Ad Council Domestic Violence Prevention Continuous Tracking Study, which was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Of the men surveyed, 89 percent agreed that it’s important for men to talk to boys about violence against women and girls, while only 37 percent reported speaking to a boy they know about violence against women in the past six months. The campaign encourages men to recognize this dissonance between their beliefs and actions, and teach boys to respect women with the same enthusiasm and dedication in which they teach them other things.

Lupe Maldonado will tell you, “education is key.” That’s because it’s what helped her and her family create a brighter future. Their story started in a garage in Torrance, Calif., more than 20 years ago. That’s where they lived when they came to the U.S. No bathroom. No running water; a mattress on the bare floor. They covered up the holes to keep out the cold and the mice. While it may have been a bleak start, Lupe says just being in America was a dream come true.
While Ismael worked 12 hour days to support his family, Lupe joined a new program at her son’s elementary school called the Toyota Family Literacy Program in order to learn English. It was a tough decision, going to school instead of getting a job that could provide the money needed to move out of that garage; but Ismael and Lupe knew if she could learn English, she could advocate for their boys with teachers, doctors and in the community. Ismael also enrolled in English classes.
