Celebrity judges, showbiz-inspired design challenges and an impressive exhibition of creativity await viewers of the returning HGTV Design Star. Premiering on Tuesday, May 29, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the series’ seventh season highlights talented interior designers, stylists and artists as they compete to win their own HGTV show. David Bromstad, the network’s charismatic and original winner of the popular reality competition, is back for a second season as mentor—this time also assuming the host role. Each week, HGTV designers Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip are joined by special guest judges including Kardashian mom Kris Jenner; entrepreneur and TV personality Daisy Fuentes; CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star and Emmy award-winning actress Marg Helgenberger; Entertainment Tonight host Mark Steines; and multi-platinum recording artist and home remodeling expert, DIY Network’s Vanilla Ice. For this year’s World Osteoporosis Day (October 20), the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) is releasing a 24-page report promoting a three-step strategy for healthy bones and strong muscles.
Professor Heike Bischoff-Ferrari, director Centre on Aging and Mobility at the University of Zurich/Waid City Hospital and author of the report, stated, “Put simply, no matter how old you are you can optimize your bone health by following three essential steps.”
“First, you must ensure sufficient vitamin D intake. Secondly, your diet should include adequate amounts of calcium and protein. Finally, you should make sure that you’re doing daily weight-bearing and muscle strengthening exercise.”

I've played several theatre organs built by Compton and Wurlitzer but never a Christie until today! Im playing "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" on the Christie theatre organ at the Social Welfare Hall in Harworth near Doncaster. The organ was originally built in 1934 for the Essoldo cinema in Durham and had 2 manuals and 7 ranks of pipes. It was installed here in the 1960s and had an extra manual and some extra ranks of pipes added. When playing a cinema organ my aim has always been to try and play as they did in your average 1930s surburban cinema. In otherwords - knock out the tune! The emphasis these days tends to be on "orchestral" styling etc.
