McDonald’s USA today announced its 2013 Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour raised more than $83,000—the most the tour has ever garnered—in support of local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters. With its seventh year wrapped, Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour, a free national concert series featuring a lineup of gospel greats, is designed to bring service, encouragement and entertainment to communities and emphasize the importance of giving back. This year’s nine-city tour, hosted by gospel artist/comedienne Vickie Winans, kicked off May 9 in Washington, D.C., and featured gospel music heavy-hitters Smokie Norful and son Ashton, Lecrae and John P. Kee. Tamela Mann also performed in select cities.

World tennis number one Rafa Nadal emerged as winner of the EPT Charity Challenge, beating Brazilian football legend Ronaldo and world number one poker player Daniel Negreanu.
The tournament, played as part of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague poker festival has been dubbed the greatest gathering of sporting professionals at a poker table. Nadal, Ronaldo and Negreanu joined former Ukrainian footballer Andriy Shevchenko, Italian skier Alberto Tomba and Dutch Olympic field hockey gold medallist Fatima Moreira de Melo–competing for their share of a €100,000 charity prize pool.

Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri return to mentor and coach eight new multi-talented celebrities in the third season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, premiering Monday, January 6th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. The eight celebrities are divided into Team Rachael and Team Guy as they compete over six episodes in a variety of culinary challenges, testing their cooking, marketing and performing skills along the way. Lazarex Cancer Foundation (www.lazarex.org) is a 501(c)(3) non profit that was founded by Dana Dornsife, who is also President of the organization. She became a cancer advocate when her brother-in-law Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 as she searched for options that would buy Mike and his family some additional time. Her dedication enabled Mike to live long enough so that his youngest daughter would have real memories of him, which she could keep throughout her life
More than 80,000 healthcare workers and their communities from across the country and around the world joined together in the Medline Pink Glove Dance for breast cancer online video competition. After a hard-fought dance battle, the online votes are in and Medline is pleased to name Geisinger Health System, Danville, Pa., as the winner. As a result, $25,000 will be donated to their charity of choice, the American Cancer Society, providing free transportation for treatment to central Pennsylvania breast cancer patients in need. Additionally, Medline and participating hospitals will donate another $1 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and various local breast cancer charities nationwide. More than $2.2 million has been donated through the campaign and Medline Foundation since 2005.

For the past 17 years, the Dallas Cowboys have helped The Salvation Army launch the campaign during its nationally televised halftime performances. Eagle Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has named Hershel “Woody” Williams of Ona, West Virginia, as the Grand Prize winner of the 2016 Rare Life Award. Eagle Rare will donate $50,000 to Williams’ charity, the Hershel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, and host an awards ceremony in Lexington, Kentucky on February 27, 2016.
