TELEMUNDO anunció hoy que la superestrella internacional Lucero conducirá los primeros “Latin American Music Awards.” El gran evento, que tendrá lugar el jueves, 8 de octubre, 2015 desde el prestigioso Dolby Theater en Hollywood, California, comenzará con la anticipada llegada de estrellas a la “Alfombra de Latin AMAs” a las 8pm/7c y continuará con la ceremonia de premiación a las 9pm/8c, que se transmitirá por TELEMUNDO y simultáneamente por NBC Universo. Lucero es una polifacética y galardonada actriz, presentadora de televisión y cantante multi-platino. Nacida en la Ciudad de México, ha vendido más de 27 millones de discos mundialmente. Reconocida como “La Novia de América”, Lucero obtuvo su primer papel de alto perfil en un programa popular para niños en la Ciudad de México a los 10 años. Desde entonces, ha lanzado una serie de exitosos álbumes y muchas de sus canciones han encabezado las listas de música internacionalmente. I was inspired to write this song shortly after I had first watched a video by Danai Moraiti which was her performing a Greek song "i garsona (Panos Tountas)" on her electric piano. What really captured my heart was her most beautiful smile at the end of her performance. I have never seen such a smile in all of this world. From that moment on, I ordained her to be my QUEEN OF SMILES !!!! .... That was well over a year ago as I had encountered a problem after I had already sang the lyrics that I had written for this song. I didn't know then as I do not know now, how to pronounce her name in English .... A most embarrassing dilemma .... In English, the combination of "ai" creates a long vowel "A"sound but her name is in Greek. I spent over a month researching her name on Google and I asked people who were European but nobody knew for sure and so I abandoned this song. I didn't know Danai as well back then and I did not wish to mispronounce her name but we are such good friends now that I feel more comfortable in taking this risk. If I am wrong on the pronunciation of her name, I will then wear a tutu and dance the Nutcracker for DANAI as we go fishing.

As the number of people living with Alzheimer’s disease soars, so does the number of family caregivers. Over 15 million people are taking care of loved ones with dementia in the home, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. Sixty percent say the emotional stress is high and more than a third report depression symptoms. To help, Brookdale is offering a free webinar for family caregivers during November, National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
