Kids are willing to do almost anything to get the toys they want for Christmas according to Walmart’s Talking Holiday Toys Survey, which found that 68 percent of kids said they would clean their rooms daily for a year, while 84 percent would work hard and give up playtime. But every child has limits; only 23 percent of kids would eat spinach for a year to get their holiday toys. The Walmart–commissioned survey also found that mom and dad favor educational toys and are focused on price.

The Northwest produces clean, renewable ethanol that helps reduce pollution and combat climate change. By reducing petroleum dependence, ethanol helps bring true homeland security. This PSA was produced by Fluid Images, Cascade Sierra Solutions and Lane Regional Air Protection Agency. Major funding provided by a US Department of Energy award granted to promote retail availablity of ethanol.
Shell today pledged an additional $6 million to the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, which aims to save lives and protect the environment through the use of improved cookstoves and fuels. This follows $6 million of Shell funding announced in 2010, and the secondment of a Shell employee to the Alliance. Shell is the single largest private-sector contributor to the Alliance.

Nearly one in six Americans get foodborne illness every year. The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports that risk of foodborne illness increases during summer months as the weather warms (making food more susceptible to spoiling) and as more people cook and entertain outside.
