Ahead of World Stroke Day 2012 (October 29), European Policy Makers have joined over 90 Medical and Patient Organisations, and more than 100,000 people, in supporting the Global Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Patient Charter and calling for National Governments and the World Health Organisation to act to make the prevention of AF-related strokes a priority. Since Super Storm Sandy hit the Jersey Shore in October 2012, Atlantic City has battled the misperception that the famed Boardwalk was destroyed in the storm. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held from June 20 to 22, 2013 – this year’s theme was “Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy”.
2013 was a record SPIEF year for the number of attendees – 7190 people attended, from 87 countries, out of which total there were 1245 media representatives.
