Diese Aufgabe hat bei Peugeot die am 21. September auf den Markt kommende neue Generation des 308, der seit seinem Erscheinen in 2001 immerhin insgesamt 4,2 Millionen Käufer fand. Und dies dringend – denn trotz ordentlicher Verkäufe des neuen 208 befindet sich Peugeot bei uns nach wie vor im Rückwärtsgang. Bis einschließlich August beträgt das Zulassungsminus satte 28,9 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum und das bei einem durchschnittlichen Branchen-Gesamtrückgang von 6,6 Prozent. Mit einer Länge von 4,25 Metern ist der neue 308 die kompakteste Limousine ihres Segments. Auch der Karosserieüberhang fällt vorn wie hinten überraschend kurz aus, was ihm eine dynamische Optik verleiht, ohne die Platzverhältnisse im Innenraum einzuschränken. Dank des auf 2,52 Meter vergrößerten Radstands profitieren Insassen im Innenraum von mehr Bewegungsfreiheit. Das Kofferraumvolumen von 470 Litern (VDA-Norm: 420 Liter), von dem 35 Liter unter dem Bodenteppich versteckt sind, stellt nach Angaben von Peugeot einen Rekordwert im Segment dar. Darüber hinaus gibt es im Innenraum zahlreiche weitere Ablagemöglichkeiten wie das zwölf Liter große Handschuhfach oder die großen Seitentaschen an den Vordertüren.

Clayton, one of America's largest builders of manufactured and modular homes, is proud to announce that it is being featured on the new show “Breakneck Builds” to showcase some of its customized modular homes for the debut season.
The series features a total of six different Clayton Built™ homes throughout Season One. Clayton interviewed two of the six families after filming commenced to give a behind-the-scenes look at the homes and the families living in them. In honor of National Volunteer Month, Chuck E. Cheese’s, the preferred destination for Big Brothers Big Sisters, is raising awareness of the more than 30,000 unmatched Littles in need of a Big. Chuck E. himself is kicking off a nationwide honorary Big program by becoming a Big for a day to a Little in Dallas. Throughout the month, all Chuck E. Cheese’s locations will also offer guests opportunities to support Big Brothers Big Sisters by donating at the register or participating in a National Night Out event on April 14.
Starting in Dallas, Big Brothers Big Sisters will match Chuck E. with a deserving Little for a surprise visit to his or her school, followed by an after school play date during Chuck E. Cheese’s National Night Out event on April 14 from 5 p.m.–9 p.m. National Night Out is a nationwide event in which a portion of the proceeds from all who attend will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. Raminator, a monster truck sponsored by the Ram Truck brand, has broken the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® record for the Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Hitting a record speed of 99.10 miles per hour (mph), Raminator and Driver Mark Hall secured the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title at 8:44 a.m. (CT), breaking the previous record of 96.8 mph.

As the country celebrates the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, Dallas-based nonprofit Earth Day Texas gears up for its fifth annual event. Founded in 2011, the organization expects more than 75,000 attendees during the three-day event.
Earth Day Texas takes place April 24, 25 and 26 at historic Fair Park in Dallas.
Confirmed speakers include Karenna Gore, author and daughter of Al Gore; Bill White, former mayor of Houston; David Yarnold, president of the Audubon Society; Dan Patrick, Lt.
