On Saturday, June 3, the latest wonder in the MSC Cruises fleet, MSC Meraviglia was christened in a glittering ceremony by international screen legend and godmother of all of MSC Cruises’ ships, Sophia Loren. At 171,598 GRT and with guest capacity of 5,714 (4,488 at double occupancy), MSC Meraviglia is the biggest ship to be built by a European ship owner, MSC Cruises, and also the biggest ship to come into service in 2017.
MSC Cruises, the Swiss-based world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and brand market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa, hosted the glamorous, high-profile event in Le Havre, with entertainment from top international performers and an exclusive gala dinner in the company of special guests, authorities, key partners from the travel industry, global media and top management from MSC Cruises and its parent company MSC Group. Gianluigi Aponte, MSC Group’s founder and executive chairman as well as the ship owner, attended together with the Aponte and Aponte-Vago families.

There's something about the road trip that really speaks to many Americans. It gives them the freedom to travel the country's highways and back roads to explore new places and familiar destinations. It allows them to taste local food and experience local culture–on their own timeline. And it's a cost-conscious way to have a truly memorable vacation.
It's only natural, then, that many people think road trips are the best way to travel. A brand-new survey from AARP Travel (http://travel.aarp.org), a valuable resource for America's 76 million baby boomers who spend over $120 billion annually in leisure travel, finds that more than 7 in 10 people 45-plus say that road trips are their favorite way to travel.

The brand invited three final candidates to travel the world with a suitcase full of whisky on an epic 10-day journey as part of The Greatest Job Interview in the World. Their journeys echoed the legendary trip undertaken in 1909 by Charles Grant Gordon, son-in-law of company founder William Grant.
If this is the interview, imagine what the job is like.
The opportunity captured imaginations all over the world, generating almost 5,000 applications from candidates in 103 countries. Hopefuls were initially narrowed down to 20 who were flown from 13 countries to attend ‘The Mixer’ event in Dufftown, Scotland, the brand’s spiritual home. After a series of challenges, three finalists – Amy, a PE teacher living in Madrid; Danny, a whisky barman from Edinburgh and Linda, a radio presenter from Johannesburg - were then each sent to three different worldwide destinations to ‘live the job’ for ten days.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that the same Spectra® fiber technology used in protective vests for law enforcement is now available to shield the belongings of everyday consumers from thieves who slash bags to steal items.
Consumers who want to keep their belongings safe can now buy a theft-resistant drawstring backpack called the Flak Sack, designed by Loctote Industrial Bag Company. As seen on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” the Flak Sack is the world’s first cut-resistant bag designed for travel and daily use. Now, it will be enhanced with Spectra—the same fiber technology used in bullet-resistant vests. Flak Sack utilizes Spectra in a unique fabric construction called FLAKnit™ created by Tuff-N-Lite®, a division of Supreme Corp., a leading textile and fiber technology company. The charm of Paris, the European capital of culture and fashion, is well established. Its splendid monuments bear witness to the history of France and the expertise of its greatest architects. Its beautiful streets lined with high-end shops and art galleries continue to make Paris one of the most popular destinations in the world.
Some Paris neighbourhoods, such as the famous ‘Golden Triangle ’are very popular with foreign visitors.
However, many French and international personalities from business, politics or showbiz choose lesser-known districts, where discretion and luxury go hand-in-hand.
Neuilly-sur-Seine is the perfect example, located just ten minutes from the most beautiful avenue in the world : the Champs Elysees.
