In the first three months of this year, traffic congestion is up 4 percent compared to 2012. The National Insurance Crime Bureau today reported that in 2011, motorcycle thefts were down 6 percent from their 2010 total. There were 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011 compared with 49,791 in 2010—a decline of 6 percent. The theft rate averages out to one theft every 11 minutes. All data is from theft reports contained in the National Crime Information Center.

The U.S. preterm birth rate dropped for the fifth consecutive year in 2011 to 11.7 percent, the lowest in a decade, giving thousands more babies a healthy start in life and saving billions in health and social costs.
“These results demonstrate that many premature births can be prevented with the right policies and bold leadership,” said March of Dimes President Dr. Jennifer L. Howse. “Our national progress in reducing premature births over the past five years shows that when infant health becomes a priority, babies benefit.
