Usually, people think that lightning is the fastest thing in the world. Is there anything else comparable with lightning speed? Recently, an experiment was conducted, comparing the unlocking speed of a mobile phone with lightning speed, and the OPPO F1 Plus mobile phone was chosen because the tagline says it can unlock in 0.2 seconds.
The experimenter released the lightning by means of Tesla coil and triggered switch and fingerprint membrane, and the experimental result shows that lightning and OPPO F1 Plus unlocking almost simultaneously happen.
OPPO F1 Plus fingerprint unlocking so fast lies in its recognition system, featuring adaptive, self-learning, and dynamic matching abilities. OPPO F1 Plus can adapt to the various states of the user’s fingers, and dry or wet fingers can smoothly unlock it. Under certain conditions, the system will automatically learn, and constantly improve, the fingerprint information of the users, thus decreasing obviously false acceptance rate and false rejection rate. Meanwhile, the system database template image sequence will dynamically adjust according to the habits of the users, with 0.2s unlocking more quickly and conveniently.

At 37 years old, with a thriving concrete business, a wife and three young children, dying was the last thing on Travis Roberts’ mind. But after a doctor’s visit for a kidney stone, Roberts learned he had cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile duct. His survival rate was zero.

The Call of Duty™ Endowment today announced $1,110,000 in grants to launch its new ‘chapterization’ model, a funding strategy whereby grants will be provided to organizations that have the ability to scale their operations by opening new, regional offices—or chapters—that offer employment services to veterans.
The Call of Duty Endowment’s announcement comes on the heels of new veterans’ unemployment numbers released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), which found that the unemployment rate for the youngest veterans (aged 18-24) remained over 5 percent higher than for their nonveteran counterparts (20.4 percent and 15 percent, respectively). While the annual report demonstrates a positive trend nationally for the overall veteran unemployment rate, there is much work to be done, especially for our nation’s youngest veterans.

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, today introduced the 6 Series MSO mixed signal oscilloscope. The new oscilloscope extends the performance threshold of midrange oscilloscopes to 8 GHz and delivers a 25 GS/s sample rate simultaneously on all 4 channels – an industry first for this class of oscilloscope – to accommodate the needs of designers working on faster, more complex embedded systems designs. With 25 GS/s sample rate on all channels, designers can accurately now view up to four high-speed signals at one time. Following FDA approval of the AspireSR® generator for the VNS Therapy® system in June 2015, more than a thousand patients with drug-resistant epilepsy across the United States have received this new treatment option. Many of these patients are experiencing benefits which have positively impacted their lives – and are sharing their stories during Epilepsy Awareness Month with the hope of encouraging others to seek new treatments for drug-resistant epilepsy. Numerous hospitals nationwide have begun providing the AspireSR device to patients with drug-resistant epilepsy – a condition that affects as many as one-third of people with epilepsy, causing them to have seizures in spite of treatment with antiepileptic medications.
The VNS Therapy system is a minimally invasive option in which a medical device is placed under the skin in the upper chest area during an outpatient procedure. The device sends mild electrical pulses through the vagus nerve to areas of the brain known to be associated with seizures.
