Thousands of Haitian people have endured living on dirt floors amid stifling heat and tropical downpours since the Jan. 12, 2010, earthquake. Singer Debbie Gibson, a contestant on this season’s The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, won $50,000 during last night’s episode on behalf of her charity of choice, Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization.
