On the eve of his 16th birthday, Greyson McCluskey from Indian Trail, North Carolina was named the national winner of Wouldn’t It Be Cool If…, a campaign jointly presented by Time Warner Cable’s philanthropic science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiative, Connect a Million Minds, and i.am FIRST, founded by artist, entertainer and entrepreneur will.i.am. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum (9/11 Memorial) today joined the Ad Council to launch a public service advertising (PSA) campaign asking citizens to “honor, remember and reunite” for the 10th anniversary of 9/11 by donating to or visiting the Memorial. The first PSA will air in the weeks leading up to the 10th anniversary of 9/11; the Memorial will be dedicated on that day and opens to the general public the following day, Sept. 12, 2011.
The 9/11 Memorial also today launched a new platform for the Memorial Guide, which displays the entire names arrangement of the Memorial. The Memorial Guide is now available as an app for iPhone through the Apple App Store on the smart phone. The app includes oral history content provided by StoryCorps, a partnership organization of the 9/11 Memorial.

Golfers have a great excuse to tee it up on Labor Day weekend (Aug. 31 – Sept. 3) as thousands of golf facilities will host Patriot Golf Day® events. They will collect donations for Folds of Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization providing educational scholarships to families of service men and women disabled or killed in service to their country.
