As Britain prepares for a summer of sport, Steve Backley, former javelin world record holder and Olympian turned business motivator and author, calls on British businesses to encourage competition, following two polls showing many embrace competition at work. The first report, carried out by The National Business Awards in partnership with Orange, shows that 65% of workers agree winning is important to them, with over two thirds believing healthy competition brings out the best in people and almost 40% acknowledging they enjoy a competitive environment at work. However, many employees say competitiveness is not encouraged in their workplace enough. Over 40% say being rewarded for their achievements at work encourages them to ‘up their game’, yet nearly 60% said they are not praised enough by bosses when they do well at work. Over half of the workers canvassed also said they would like to feel part of a winning business and would be proud if their place of work was recognised by winning an external award. http://www.azurespartan.com/creatine-monohydrate-whats-your-favorite-creatine/ To perform optimally,Creatine Ultimate. The body offers the power required in scenarios requiring immediate, high-intensity actions as in exercise, in the form of ATP, or adenosine triphosphate. Because the physique has merely a limited provide of ATP, usually to last only a few seconds of extreme exercise, ATP is constantly produced to supply power so as for that muscle tissues to function. The burst of power is created by the breakdown of ATP when one phosphate group is launched, which packs substantial metabolic energy. The body makes use of creatine phosphate to rapidly replenish ATP.

Hybrids have a safety edge over their conventional twins when it comes to shielding their occupants from injuries in crashes, new research by the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), an affiliate of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, shows. On average, the odds of being injured in a crash are 25 percent lower for people in hybrids than people traveling in nonhybrid models. The new finding is more good news for green-minded drivers who don’t want to trade safety for fuel economy. Not so long ago, car buyers had to choose between the two because fuel-efficient cars tended to be smaller and lighter. Now, consumers have more options than ever when it comes to picking an environmentally friendly — and crashworthy — vehicle. For more information, go to: www.iihs.org

http://fitnessweightlosscenter.com - How to Warm Up and Cool Down | Pre Workout Exercises - In order to get the most out of your workouts and reduce the risk of injury it is essential to warm up before your workouts and cool down post workout. I see people at the gym get this one workout fundamental wrong all the time. Instead of doing some light cardio to get their blood flowing and their muscles warmed up they immediately begin stretching. You do not want to stretch cold muscles. A good analogy is a frozen candy bar - if you try to stretch it the bar just snaps, but take the same candy bar at or above room temperature and it becomes very pliable. The same holds true for your muscles. The optimal time to stretch is after your workout when your muscles are nice and warmed up not before our workout. If you aren't at the gym or all the cardio machines are being used all you need to do is jumping jacks and/or a little running in place to get your muscles warmed up and ready for your workout. Also resist the temptation to turn your warm up into a mini high intensity cardio session. You want a slow steady pace to your warm up and cool down routine. Grilling season is in full swing, but the same old menu of burgers, hot dogs and macaroni salad could use some fresh ingredients and ideas. Whether you have a home garden or a local farmers’ market, summer brings an abundance of fruits and vegetables that are prime for grilling. In celebration of its 70th anniversary year, Organic Gardening magazine is keeping the season festive with recipes that take the garden to the grill. Produce is the tastiest and most nutrient-dense when it is in-season, and it can be more affordable too. Grilling brings out the flavors and juices in fruits and vegetables: corn and zucchini take on a delicious, smoky flavor and the natural sugars in peaches and pineapple caramelize to perfection. Not sure where to begin? Organic Gardening’s Consulting Food and Wine Editor Victoria von Biel offers tips for a more flavorful grilling season.
