February 24 -- There are more than one billion cars on the road worldwide today, and only one tenth of one percent of them have a plug. OPEC contends that even in the year 2040, EVs will make up just one percent. But don't be so sure. By 2020, some electric cars and SUVs will be faster, safer, cheaper, and more convenient than their gasoline counterparts. What if people just stop buying oil? Renault ZOE is the first car to be designed as an all-electric model. A city car ideal for everyday use, it boasts the latest technology. Renault ZOE ships with six world firsts, designed to make it an easy-to-drive connected car with significant range. Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, Renault ZOE will be available in three versions (Life, Zen and Intens) at end-2012.
Driving Renault ZOE is a new and enjoyable automotive experience. The wound rotor synchronous electric motor develops 65 kW with maximum torque of 220 Nm delivered instantly. ZOE combines strong acceleration and pick-up from the lowest engine speeds with a range of 210 km over an NEDC cycle.

The Focus Electric is a 5-door hatchback electric car produced by Ford Motor Company. It was originally released for the U.S. market in 2011, while in Europe came one year later. It is the company’s first full production, all-electric passenger vehicle. It is based on the standard, third generation of Focus.

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are hybrids with high-capacity batteries that can be charged by plugging them in. Although PHEVs do not have to be plugged in to be driven, they will not achieve optimal fuel consumption or maximum driving range without charging.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), is hosting a panel discussion about the latest best practices and uses for injectables including the newest FDA-approved options at The Aesthetic Meeting today in Montreal, Quebec Canada.
The panel discussed the latest advances, including the ways various dermal fillers can be utilized to produce optimal results for targeted areas. There are thirteen FDA-approved dermal fillers on the market to-date, providing aesthetic plastic surgeons with the ability to customize anti-aging treatments to patients’ needs. “The filler choices are dictated by a patient’s unique aging pattern, the anatomical area to be treated and physiochemical properties,” explains ASAPS member, Dr. Z. Paul Lorenc.
