Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to helping families struggling with their son’s or daughter’s substance use, today announced that it has extended the hours of its free Parent Helpline.
The bilingual Helpline is staffed by Parent Support Specialists, trained and caring Master’s-level counselors, who are ready to listen, help parents find answers and make an action plan for their child. Parent Support Specialists offer parents and caregivers the support and resources needed to care for a loved one who is struggling with substances. Volvo is now launching trucks that can cut CO2 emissions by 20 to 100 per cent. With a firm focus on new, energy-efficient technology for gas-powered vehicles, Volvo Trucks makes it possible to significantly reduce the climate impact of heavy regional and long-haul transport operations.
Volvo Trucks is now introducing Euro 6-compliant gas-powered trucks that offer fuel efficiency and performance on a par with that of diesel-driven trucks, but with far lower climate impact. The new trucks, the Volvo FH LNG and Volvo FM LNG, can run on either biogas, which cuts CO2 by up to 100 per cent, or natural gas which reduces CO2 emissions by 20 per cent compared with diesel. This relates to emissions from the vehicle during usage, known as tank-to-wheel.

Construction is complete at A/D/O, a new 23,000 square-foot creative space, which opens to the public in Greenpoint, Brooklyn following the holiday season. At the core of A/D/O is its Design Academy, which aims to inspire pioneering work and be a forum for interdisciplinary debate. A/D/O will provide unique opportunities for professional development while inviting the broader public to explore design through a range of installations, exhibitions and events.
The Design Academy at A/D/O will offer an ambitious seasonal program geared towards design professionals, which stimulates relevant dialogue and new work through talks and workshops, special exhibitions and commissions and designer residencies. Its first program, entitled “Utopia vs. Dystopia: Designing Our Imagined Futures,” investigates the role design plays in a world of rapid change. Partnerships with design firms MOS Architects, OLIN, Stephen Burks Man Made and Turner-prize winning collective Assemble, as well as talks from Yves Behar and Alice Rawsthorn among others, are important components of this inaugural season, which will kick off with a three-day festival January 27-29, 2017.

This will make having a car as transparent, easy and hassle free as having a phone: a national, ready-negotiated monthly fee, combined with getting a new car every 24 months.
After ordering online, Care by Volvo customers will be able to drive away in a new Volvo without having to worry about the traditional extras such as down payments, insurances, taxes, service fees and geographical or customer age related differences.
Furthermore, Care by Volvo will, depending on regional availability, offer a range of digital concierge services, such as fuelling, cleaning, service pick-up and e-commerce delivery to the car.
