Food Network takes chefs out of their kitchen comfort zone in new primetime series Extreme Chef premiering Thursday, June 30th at 10pm ET/PT. Hosted by TV veteran and seasoned world traveler Marsh Mokhtari, each episode pushes three chefs to their physical and mental limits as they must adjust to extreme conditions and unpredictable curveballs such as swimming across a lake for ingredients and using a car engine as a makeshift stove. Presented here is the new EM Super-Jet Printing press, a two color printing press for envelopes with 6” cylinders and a multi purpose envelope feeder.
Vertex’s responsibility was the design and engineering of all plastic and sheet metal parts, as well as, exterior covers design and engineering driven by ergonomics and user interface with the press.
As part of the EM series Vertex Product Development Inc. was also responsible for the Jet EM printing press which is a two color printing press for envelopes with 3” cylinders and a Dual-Feeder option. The objectives in this effort was to use as many common parts as possible with the EM Super-Jet press to lower stock and minimize part numbers in the BOM (Bill of Material), as well as, to add new product to the EM press family.

Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast was introduced at Six Flags St. Louis today with St. Louis Cardinal and World Series MVP David Freese on-hand for the first official ride. Eighteen members of Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Louis joined Freese for the inaugural launch-ride on the park’s newest twist to one of its most popular thrill rides. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast sends riders backwards through a 190-foot tunnel, into a 180-degree inversion, then climbs more than 200-feet in the air where they will find themselves suspended, dangling in the air, before repeating the entire chilling experience.
