For those who enjoy an icy cup of cold brew coffee, the new KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker is the perfect gift to get them brewing at home. The thoughtful and streamlined design allows for easy home brewing in three simple steps: grind, brew and pour. The model’s no heat brewing method steeps coarsely ground coffee in cold water for 12-24 hours, resulting in a smooth and balanced flavor that can be enjoyed all day. Capable of making up to 28 ounces of concentrate at once (or approximately 14 average single servings), the resulting brew is best enjoyed by combining 2 ounces of coffee concentrate with ice and the option of milk and sweeteners.
Designed with a modern glass brew jar and sleek stainless steel tap, the cold brew coffee maker serves as a stylish addition to any kitchen countertop, while the compact footprint provides an ideal fit for a refrigerator shelf or door for easy dispensing straight from the refrigerator. A reusable stainless steel steeper allows for custom beverage brewing, aided by a fill guideline that takes the guesswork out of the process. The easy to clean glass and stainless components help to preserve taste in combination with a fitted lid that ensures freshness of the coffee concentrate. The KitchenAid® Cold Brew Coffee Maker is available now in stainless steel at a suggested retail price of $129.99.

For consumers in the market for a new car, it can be difficult to keep up with all of the new—and newly redesigned—models that have been released since they last bought a car. Autotrader’s editorial team is helping consumers narrow down the many choices on the market today by selecting the top 10 vehicles that shoppers should experience for themselves. Announced today, Autotrader’s Must Test Drive vehicle lineup for 2016 includes a wide range of body styles to ensure that no matter what kind of vehicle a shopper is considering, the list will point them in the right direction for their next purchase.
“We created the Must Test Drive Awards to highlight vehicles that are unexpectedly good,” said Brian Moody, executive editor at Autotrader. “We have a chance to drive a lot of cars, but few leave us certain that shoppers are missing out if they don’t take them for a spin. The 10 vehicles we chose this year did just that.”
A car is typically one of the biggest purchases a consumer makes, and a recent Autotrader survey showed that 84 percent of consumers say it is extremely important to test drive a vehicle they’re considering. The top three things they look for during test drives are performance, comfort and handling. While 30 percent wait to test drive vehicles until they know the exact model they want to buy, 44 percent get behind the wheel when they’re still considering a few options.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) today released its annual Hot Wheels report, which identifies the 10 most stolen vehicles in the United States. The report examines vehicle theft data submitted by law enforcement to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and determines the vehicle make, model and model year most reported stolen in 2017.
While Honda Accords and Civics produced prior to the introduction of anti-theft technology continue to dominate this report, a deeper look at the data demonstrates just how effective anti-theft technology continues to be. A total of (6,707) 1998 Honda Civics were stolen in 2017 compared with just (388) 2017 Civics. Put another way, (17) 1998 Civics were stolen last year for every one 2017 model.

Drivers of late-model pickup trucks are likely to find themselves squinting into the darkness or temporarily blinding other drivers, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's latest headlight ratings show.
All four small pickups evaluated are available only with headlights that earn a poor rating. The same goes for 3 out of 7 large pickups. Only one large pickup, the Honda Ridgeline, is available with good-rated headlights, though all but the most expensive trim levels come with poor ones.
Pickups are the third vehicle category to be put through the IIHS headlight evaluations. Midsize cars were the first in March, followed by small SUVs in July.
IIHS launched its headlight ratings after finding that government standards based on laboratory tests allow for huge variation in the amount of illumination headlights provide in on-road driving. In the Institute's evaluations, engineers measure how far light is projected from a vehicle's low beams and high beams as the vehicle travels straight and on curves. Glare from low beams for oncoming drivers also is measured.
