Messe Frankfurt looks back on a 45-year-long tradition of success in the automotive industry and takes this opportunity to thank its long-term and loyal exhibitors. It has come up with something special for this occasion: the artist and photographer Rafael Neff has converted several customer products into theme worlds that are featured in the 2016 Automechanika calendar: Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG, BBS GmbH, Brembo S.p.A., Continental Aftermarket GmbH,Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH,Hella KGaA Hueck & Co, Johnson Controls Autobatterie GmbH & Co. KGaA, Liqui Moly GmbH, Mahle GmbH, MANN+HUMMEL GmbH, RECARO Automotive Ltd. & Co. KG, Schaeffler AG, ZF Friedrichshafen AG. The high-quality calendar was presented at the ‘We say THANKS’ ceremony in the Klassikstadt Frankfurt, to which Messe Frankfurt issued an invitation.
Automechanika is certainly the most exciting success story in 45 years. The story began in 1971 with the first Automechanika in Frankfurt, which was christened when the IAA was cancelled. In subsequent years, the trade fair has made outstanding progress, advancing to the world’s leading trade fair, which is now held in fifteen locations worldwide. In the meantime, Messe Frankfurt is also organising a series of new B2B trade fairs for trucking and logistics and B2C events for automobiles, bikes, and boats.

Sogenannte Concept Cars sind auf allen Automessen der Hingucker. Sie sollen zeigen, was die Autobauer für die Mobilität der Zukunft entwickeln. Oft wird aus dem Blick in die Zukunft aber auch nichts. Die Studien wären für eine Serienproduktion dann doch zu teuer gewesen, oder zu praxisfern, oder es wäre einfach nicht mehr die Akzeptanz bei den Käufern vorhanden. Dann wandern die Konzepte nach ihrem glorreichen Messeauftritten still und leise ins Museum oder die Schrottpresse. VW hat mit einem ambitionierten Projekt bewiesen, dass es auch anders geht. Das 1-Liter-Auto erschien zu Beginn vielen Skeptikern noch als reine Utopie. Als VW in Doha den Prototyp des XL1 durch die Straßen fahren ließ, war aber klar, dass es sich nicht nur ein imageträchtiges Marketingprojekt handelt. Spätestens als in Genf die Kleinserie des XL1 ins Scheinwerferlicht rollte, mussten Zweifler erkennen, dass VW es ernst meint.

2017 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), the world-first award ceremony integrating K-Pop and K-Drama, has successfully completed its ceremony.
The awards were granted to 40 K-culture representative stars and singers including EXO, Seventeen, Im Yoon-ah, Lee Joon-gi, and 57 trophies were awarded to artists from Japan and China, proving to be the definitive Asian award ceremony.
Jiwon Ha, the director of Asia Artist Awards Organizing Committee said that the event that took place in Jamsil Gymnasium in Seoul on November 15th was live streamed for 4 hours and 30 minutes in Korea, Japan, and China while announcing the Popularity Award by voting.

Intermedia today released its 2015 Insider Risk Report, which exposes the online security habits of more than 2,000 office workers in the U.S. and U.K.
Even as businesses and the federal government have made cybersecurity a high priority, Intermedia’s survey found that 93% of office workers engage in some form of unsafe online habits that could jeopardize their employer or their customers.

International Connections Academy currently serves students in more than 40 countries across the globe – with the number of expat families it serves growing each semester. The school’s 2016 Parent Satisfaction Survey recently revealed that 80 percent of currently enrolled families living abroad moved for business purposes, with two-thirds planning on living in their new country for at least four years.
