Today, Goody’s® Powder partnered with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to surprise a local Charlotte fan with some “Fast Relief.” Kim Homme, a retired 25-year captain of the Charlotte Fire Department and longtime Dale Jr. fan, was treated to a special Goody’s® Fast pit stop experience along with a new set of Goodyear tires for her vehicle.
“Kim has done so much for her community and it’s great to return the favor by providing her with some Goody’s® Fast Relief,” said Earnhardt Jr. “This year’s Appreci88ion Tour has focused on giving back to the fans and thanks to Goody’s®, we were able to take it a step further today.”
Homme had no idea that Dale and the Goody’s® crew were stationed inside the Fire Department. Members of the Charlotte Douglas Airport Fire Station, where she currently works for the Air National Guard as an airport firefighter, were on hand to help celebrate the moment and watch the crew perform the Goody’s® Fast pit stop.

Out of thousands of high achieving Kumon Students from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, just 56 were selected to attend the second annual Kumon Student Conference in Calgary, Canada on July 18th. The invited students are studying at least three years above their grade level in math and/or reading at their respective Kumon Centers.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn from each other through a variety of enjoyable learning activities designed to foster team building, group discussion, critical thinking and creativity. In this unique learning environment, students heard from inspirational former Kumon Students who have completed the Kumon Program, some of whom are now successful professionals.

This book was written primarily for those young people, both boys and girls and their parents and/or mentors who, for whatever reason, believe they have no chance at a successful life. This book is the story about a young boy who believed he was in that category while growing up. That little boy changed those odds and ultimately did many things that most people cannot even dream of. Dick was expected to work twelve- to fourteen-hour days every day until he left home to join the air force when he was seventeen years old. By the grace of God, Dick somehow graduated from high school since he never once, in twelve years, ever had any time to do homework. Dick’s very best childhood friend was his Dog King who is on the cover of this Book. Without King, Dick’s childhood would have been very, very difficult, for they were always together. Life was about to change dramatically when Dick joined the air force when he was seventeen years old. The title of the book, “Destiny,” is very appropriate since it was at that time when destiny played a major role in Dick’s life. Dick should have never passed his induction physical due to an unknown severe bundle branch blockage in his heart, but he did; he should have never been accepted in the Air Force’s air weather school, but he was, graduating forty-third out of a class total of 187. The Dutch man of Tai Chi master Douwe Geluk from Apeldoorn city in the Netherlands. Douwe practised the Chinese martial arts since a very young age besides kickboxing, karate and judo he practies How Chuen Monkey Kung Fu The way of the Sasquatch with master Fred Decramer and had several teachers throughout the world for Tai Chi Chuan, Chi Kung, Pushing Hands and others.

The creative collaboration between Swedish artist/producer Avicii and Volvo Cars for their new brand campaign features a reworking of the classic song Feeling Good. Filmed on location in Stockholm and Osterlen, southern Sweden, the video visits places of personal significance for Avicii and tells his own story of renewal, following several years of hard touring. The video also features members of his family and close friends.
“In the past six years I have been on a never-ending tour, apart for the last nine months during my time-out. I did around 325 shows in a year with traveling on top of that. It couldn’t continue. In the end I had to re-evaluate my situation and change my lifestyle. Sweden is an important place to me, it’s where I gather my strength and energy with family and friends. This whole process of re-evaluation and renewal is what Volvo encouraged me to visualise in the video. I think we did a great job together,” said Avicii.

Super hero fans around the country had a chance to put their own Spidey senses to the test by creating original DIY suits inspired by Sony Pictures’ new movie, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” in theaters today, Friday, July 7 in the U.S. After narrowing the entries down to 10 semi-finalists and then five finalists, one especially crafty entrant won a trip to the world premiere screening of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Tiffany Mink (@tiffmink) turned a red dress found at her local Goodwill store into a full-fledged, head-to-toe super hero outfit. Her video showing how she created the suit, along with the submissions from the other finalists, can be viewed at spidermandiy.com. Entrants were encouraged to put their super hero love to work alongside their senses of style, and to act as community heroes by sourcing materials for their suits from Goodwill, where the sale of donated goods creates job preparation, skills training, education assistance and support services for people who face challenges to finding employment. Tiff’s purchases equates to 40 minutes of job search training for a Goodwill participant.

In a football pitch on June 20th, social media stars Iza and Elle from Sweden set a new world record on having the largest number of girls dancing in one Musical.ly video with a little help from their friends. Co-hosting the event was IFK Stocksund, the local football club where Iza and Elle are playing. To achieve this, they had gathered their friends from the football team as well as fans from their social media platforms.

Just like people, dogs have their good days and bad days but for the 4.7 million dog bite victims each year, a dogs’ bad day can result in serious injury or even death. In 2012, State Farm® had 3,670 dog bite claims and paid more than $108 million as a result of dog bites. This is a slight decrease compared to the number of dog bite claims in 2011 (3,750 claims) and a slight decrease in the amount paid as a result of dog bite claims in 2011 ($109 million).
