As the country celebrates the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, Dallas-based nonprofit Earth Day Texas gears up for its fifth annual event. Founded in 2011, the organization expects more than 75,000 attendees during the three-day event.
Earth Day Texas takes place April 24, 25 and 26 at historic Fair Park in Dallas.

Nuorilang Waterfall, located in Sichuan province’s Jiuzhai Valley, recently took the top spot in an online poll for China’s Top 10 Most Beautiful Waterfalls.
The 270-meter wide, 24.5 meter high Nuorilang Waterfall, at 2,365 meters, is an expansive travertine waterfall and the widest waterfall in China. Nuorilang means “male god” in Tibetan and symbolizes both majesty and sublimity. The waterfall freezes in winter, creating the rare phenomenon of blue ice under warm sunshine, making the waterfall an unusually distinctive stop among Jiuzhai Valley’s many attractions.

Following years of trying to expand their family, Lisa and James Park of Raleigh, NC were named the winning family in Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ 2014 Heart to Heart Video Contest. This marks the tenth year Ferring has provided educational grants through patient contests, giving parents who have struggled with infertility the chance to win thousands of dollars for their child’s education by sharing their story.
Lisa and James’ rollercoaster journey to parenthood included multiple rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI) and a frozen embryo transfer. Mazda announced the addition of Liam Dwyer as a full-time racer in the 2015 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge. Dwyer stunned the racing world in 2014 when he teamed up with Tom Long to co-drive their Freedom Autosport Mazda MX-5 to the win in the Lime Rock Park Continental Tire ST race on Memorial Day weekend. The win was a made-for-Hollywood storyline as Dwyer was competing in only his second professional race, and he was doing it with an artificial leg, having been injured while serving as a U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant in Afghanistan just three years previously.
For 2015, Dwyer will be paired up with Andrew Carbonell for the entire ten-race season beginning January 23rd at Daytona International Speedway. Carbonell scored two wins with Freedom Autosport and Mazda in 2014.

The Budweiser Clydesdales have added another iconic background to their portfolio of classic images; the Las Vegas Strip. The famous Budweiser Clydesdales made their grand entrance with a trot down the Las Vegas Strip while cheering fans and excited onlookers watched the majestic horses make their way to Beer Park, located at Paris Las Vegas.

More than 50 Mercury employees and agents, Padres players and community representatives stuffed 1,000 backpacks in right field at Petco Park following the April 29 Padres-Astros game.

Holland America Line has broken ground on a new “Base Camp” complex at the company’s McKinley Chalet Resort near the entrance to Alaska’s Denali National Park. Expected to be complete for the 2016 Alaska cruise season, Base Camp is part of Holland America Line’s ongoing enhancement program at the property that also includes room updates, upgrades to soft goods and hotel decor and additional modifications.
