The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), the world’s premier culinary college, sent six of its distinguished faculty and degree program students to catch fish off the coast of Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish and experience firsthand the purity and taste of the region’s seafood.
The team of four chefs and two culinary arts students from the CIA’s Hyde Park, New York campus toured the Parish and sampled shrimp, crab, oysters, tuna, and snapper straight from its waters. The two-day tour culminated in “A Celebration of America’s Best Seafood,” a four-course dinner at the historic Woodland Plantation.

SunPower (NASDAQ:SPWR) has once again raised the bar by introducing the highest-power solar panels available today for the residential market. In the United States, the company has launched its Next Generation Technology home solar panel called A-Series, delivering 400 and 415 watts of power. In Europe and Australia, homeowners can also now order a 400-watt solar panel from SunPower called Maxeon® 3. Each is the first home solar panel to deliver more than 400 watts in its region and is designed to deliver 60 percent more energy in the same amount of roof space over the first 25 years compared to conventional solar.
“SunPower is introducing the world’s first 400-watt residential solar panels as most in the industry are just crossing the 300-watt threshold for home solar,” said Jeff Waters, CEO of the SunPower Technologies business unit. “Our record-breaking cell technology and innovative research and development efforts have enabled us to fit more power capacity on rooftops than we ever have before. Our growing panel portfolio is delivering unprecedented value across global markets that goes unmatched by any other residential solar technology currently available.”

Ringing out, as it has for centuries, the mission bell beckons across the hillsides calling out to the devoted. Here, where lush hillsides meet the Pacific Ocean, we pursue a singular canon—to make great wine. Canon 13 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands, our answer to the mission bell, launch nationwide in July to on-premise retailers.
“The Santa Lucia Highlands are as unique as the people who settled them,” says Canon 13 winemaker Tom Klassen. “Sitting high on a bench overlooking a fertile valley, the vines grow deep in the alluvial soils that cling to the hillsides. Our fruit is protected by the maritime breezes that bring with them a gentle fog, ensuring the grapes ripen evenly and provide our wines with supple texture and fragrant aromatics found nowhere else.”
Canon 13 is inspired by our geographic birthplace at the Soledad Mission, the 13th mission located along the El Camino Real, the historic 600-mile stretch of road connecting dozens of missions and pueblos beginning in the late 1700s. The steep Santa Lucia Highlands are located along California’s central coast, near the cool waters of Monterey Bay on the flanks of the Santa Lucia Range. The region is graced by warm days, cool nights, rich soil and an evening fog that nurtures the delicate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.

Strategie „Conquer New Waters“ treibt internationalen Ausbau noch schneller voran – China erstmals stärkster BRITA-Markt
Taunusstein, 17.05.2016.

Bringing to life its mantra of #KeepWalking, Johnnie Walker The Journey introduces ‘Ode to Lesvos’, the first among a series of short films that aim to inspire people to embrace positivity and bring them together to build a better tomorrow for the world.
Can you really ignore what’s in front of your eyes? Because tomorrow it could be me. I could be on a boat with my family and I would like to be helped,” says fisherman Stratis Valamios in Ode to Lesvos.
This time, 12 months ago, Stratis’ life changed beyond recognition as he spent months on end rescuing men, women and children from the waters around his home. His village, with a population of around 150, became the front line of the refugee crisis as hundreds of thousands of people came ashore, fleeing war and seeking a better future.
