The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the addition of a new category and an increase in the purse value of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management. The increase, commences from the second edition of the award, following the huge success and overwhelming global participation for the inaugural edition of the award.
HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) cum Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the HBM Award for Innovation in Project Management said, “The Award prizemoney would be increased by 29% equivalent to AED2.6 MILLION (US$710,000). An Academic category has been added comprising two awards: Research in Innovative Project Management Practices Award and Innovative Use of Project Management Practices (Award Category) to engage students, academics and researchers. Winners of the Award would be honoured during the 5th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) scheduled in December 2018.

ATA Karate For Kids is a specialized program created exclusively for children. The Karate for Kids program includes two age groups. Pre-school karate for kids classes are for children ages 3-6 and the karate for kids classes for children ages 7 through 12. Born with cerebral palsy, Mitte was bullied as a child and knows firsthand the effects it can have. The doctors and staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children helped Mitte overcome many of the physical effects of cerebral palsy, which made him stronger and able to succeed despite the bullying. Now a successful actor and model, Mitte wants to help other kids with disabilities who may be experiencing the same thing.

The RCS Engineers Rocketry Team from Russellville, Ala., beat out 100 competitors to claim first place at the National Finals of the 2015 Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC). After months of rocketry design, test flights and qualification launches, hundreds of students from across the country traveled to Great Meadow in the Plains, Va., to vie for the title of champion of the largest rocketry competition in the world.
