Click: http://www.codyjoehodges.com  Country Music has been around for a long time, but the Country way of life has been around a lot longer. When I think of “Country”, I think of holding onto things passed down, going to Grandma and Grandpa’s on Sundays to watch TV and socialize as a family, playing Kick the Can with anyone who could still run, picking a guitar under an old oak tree surrounded by farm land, but more importantly ~ family. If you are a country music fan, it has more than likely influenced your life and to many, a large part of it. Country music to me is about the good stuff, telling stories, and life in general. Not making a political statement, but I would like to see Country Music take a step closer to its roots… even if only a small step.

With more than 50 million kids heading back to school this fall, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and Honeywell (NYSE:HON) are urging parents, guardians and educators to start conversations about safety now. The KidSmartz™ program, a joint effort between NCMEC and Honeywell, is making those conversations easier with new animated videos to help elementary school students understand and remember the “Four Rules of Safety” “A nine-year analysis by NCMEC of more than 9,000 attempted abductions revealed important patterns, including the fact that many attempts happen on the way to and from school,” said Linda Krieg, NCMEC acting CEO. “Safety is a year-round concern, but the analysis tells us that this time of year is a critical time to prepare our kids for potential dangers. KidSmartz equips teachers and parents with tools they need to help kids make smarter and safer decisions.” NCMEC’s attempted abduction analysis revealed not only the tricks used by people trying to abduct kids but also the ways kids can get away. KidSmartz, which launched last year as part of more than ten years of partnership between NCMEC and Honeywell, uses classroom activities, role-playing, animated videos and a “Safety Dance” song and dance to teach children in grades K-5 the “Four Rules of Safety.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7616251-ncmec-honeywell-kidsmartz-back-to-school/

There are lots of questions on football game days. Are we going to win? Where are we watching the game? Will there be food and drinks? And how early can we start the party? Kristin Cavallari is a wife of an NFL player who knows the game day excitement all too well. When she isn’t watching her hubby from the stands at Soldier Field, she is often the one playing host to her family and friends. With a busy lifestyle of balancing her work as a designer, actress, TV host, mother, wife and, now, author, time is limited. The family of Hoover® Cordless vacuums helps Kristin stay in front of every mess and focus on what’s really important — family, work and football! To check out the Hoover Cordless Family, visit www.Hoover.com. It seems that most football fans follow the same cycle throughout the season: clean, host, clean, repeat. Hoover Cordless vacuums are the perfect solution to the full-house cleanup before guests arrive and for the quick pick-ups throughout the party. By cutting the cord, the Hoover Cordless Family has cut the hassle of plugging and unplugging a vacuum from room to room or having to pull out a large vacuum for one simple spill. “For me, time is at a minimum with so much going on,” Cavallari explains. “The Cordless line allows me to get through my quick blitz before guests arrive and get on with making my tasty-yet-healthy game day snacks!” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7589252-hoover-cordless-kristin-cavallari-game-day/

Esurance caused a bit of a scene. The home and auto insurer staged a fender bender to encourage safe driving, an important message to address the recent series of car accidents caused by people playing mobile games while driving. The scene on Chicago’s popular Magnificent Mile featured a car’s run-in with a hot dog cart, all caused by a fictional distracted driver and Esurance mobile game-inspired creature that causes fender benders, the Fenderbendix. As visitors walked past the jarring scene, they discovered that nobody was hurt. And they learned an important message about safe driving, smart people #DontCatchAndDrive. “We’re always looking for unexpected, relatable ways to connect with people. Staging this scene allowed us to capture people’s attention and send an important message about safe driving,” said Alan Gellman, chief marketing officer at Esurance. “We understand the appeal of exciting modern technology like augmented reality gaming, but we want people to be smart about how they use it.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7910451-esurance-don%E2%80%99t-catch-and-drive/

The egg has been associated with festivals celebrating spring for many centuries. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to the 13th century or earlier. Eggs were formerly a forbidden food during the Lenten season, and there are rituals in many countries involving painting and decorating them to mark the end of the period of penance and fasting, and then eating them as a celebration of Easter. Ford versus Chevrolet versus Isuzu http://baierltrucks.com/blog/2014/05/ford-versus-chevrolet-versus-isuzu-the-pros-and-cons-of-buying-one.cfm Most Pittsburgh, Cranberry and Wexford, PA residents who are out looking for used trucks usually had just one purpose in mind; hauling. The high powered nature of work that pickup trucks are subjected to make it quiet obvious. Times have changed, however, and today's buyers want more from their trucks than just power. With more than a dozen manufacturers now playing in the pickup truck segment, the choices can be quiet confusing. Here at Baierl Truck Depot, we want our customers to make a well informed decision, which is why we would be taking a brief look at three of the most popular car manufacturers. Keep in mind that we won't be comparing individual models; we will just be evaluating each brand. Let the showdown begin!

In her newest YA novel, VASSA IN THE NIGHT, Sarah Porter has merged the dark, forested world of Russian folklore with the gritty, urban streets of Brooklyn to vibrant and dramatic effect. In the enchanted kingdom of Brooklyn, the fashionable people put on cute shoes, go to parties in warehouses, drink on rooftops at sunset, and tell themselves they’ve arrived. Babs Yaga, the owner of the local convenience store, has a policy of beheading shoplifters—and sometimes innocent shoppers as well. So when Vassa’s stepsister sends her out for light bulbs in the middle of night, she knows it could easily become a suicide mission. But Vassa has a bit of luck hidden in her pocket, a gift from her dead mother. Erg is a tough-talking wooden doll with sticky fingers, a bottomless stomach, and a ferocious cunning. With Erg’s help, Vassa just might be able to break the witch’s curse and free her Brooklyn neighborhood. But Babs won’t be playing fair…. Find out more at http://www.sarahporterbooks.com/ YA/Fantasy
