Moving can be stressful, but with a new application for the Apple iPad from State Farm®, anyone can get help with their next move. Called “MoveTools™,” this application is a relocation planning and household inventory assistant. It is free to download and is designed specifically for the Apple iPad.
MoveTools™ gives people a fresh approach to planning a move; all the resources needed are in one place. With MoveTools™, users can customize a weekly moving checklist to help plan their move and then create an inventory of their possessions. Users can then create and print “smart labels” with digital QR Codes, which can be read by smartphones with barcode reading applications. A quick scan of the label on a box will display a list of what’s packed inside.

As the summer months approach, area retailers and consumers alike eagerly anticipate the launch of the 2011 season for locally and regionally grown produce. “What we’ve found is that our customers associate in-season produce with peak freshness, better value and environmental consciousness,” said Giant Eagle Vice President of Produce, Craig Ignatz. “No matter where it’s from – a local farm or the far side of the globe – we ask ourselves the same questions, every day: how fast can we get it to our customers, and how fresh can it be?”

The National Bone Health Alliance (NBHA), a public-private partnership with 42 member organizations, is urging a simple solution to a big problem: if it’s 50+ fracture, request a test. This is the call-to-action for the NBHA’s new public and healthcare professional education campaign – 2Million2Many (www.2Million2Many.org).
The campaign reflects the two million bone breaks that occur in the U.S. each year that are caused by osteoporosis and urges the public and healthcare professionals alike to take action and request a test for osteoporosis when someone age 50 or older breaks a bone. Despite the fact that 50 percent of osteoporosis-related repeat fractures can be prevented with existing treatments, only two in 10 initial bone breaks get a follow-up test or treatment for osteoporosis.
