The Great Food Truck Race is back for a sixth season this August with a brand-new fleet of fierce competitors cooking and traveling across America’s most famous stretch of road, historic Route 66. In a return to the show’s roots, the seven teams are professional food truck operators from around the country who are known regionally for their culinary talents and selling skills – and they are ready to be recognized from coast to coast. The 2,500-mile, food-filled road battle kicks off in Santa Monica, California then hits Sedona, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico followed by tasty stops in Amarillo, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and St. Louis, culminating with an epic finale in Chicago, where the winning truck is awarded a $50,000 cash prize. Hosted by Tyler Florence, the six-episode series premieres on Sunday, August 23rd at 9pm ET/PT.

Today, more than six thousand pancake lovers from around the globe gathered in Monument Circle in Indianapolis, Indiana for a pancake fundraiser hosted by IHOP Restaurants and Kiwanis International. Thousands of Kiwanis volunteers, in town for their annual convention, and members of general public enjoyed free IHOP pancakes and coffee. Two dozen IHOP cooks prepared the pancakes made from more than 240 gallons IHOP’s famous buttermilk pancake batter, which were accompanied by 189 gallons of maple syrup, 94 pounds of butter and 625 gallons of coffee.
The celebratory event raised funds through voluntary donations to help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus through the Eliminate Project. It was the first in a series of events planned by IHOP Restaurants as part of its “Summer of Smiles” campaign that celebrates individuals and organizations which have devoted countless hours to making others smile through their philanthropy. The celebration coincides with the family-friendly brand’s launch of a new ‘smiling’ logo and its 57th Anniversary.

The XVIII Habanos Festival is opening its doors today to host the largest international event for lovers of the world’s finest tobacco: the Habano. In this edition, the festival will pay tribute to Cohiba, the most distinguished and exclusive brand of Habanos that is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
At the press conference presided by Leopoldo Cintra González, Commercial Vice-President of Habanos, S.A. and Javier Terrés Ercilla, Vice-President of Development of Habanos, S.A., the year’s major launches were presented, such as the Cosecha Reserva 2012 from the Hoyo de Monterrey brand, in its famous Epicure No 2 vitola; the new Magnum 54 from the H. On Thursday, July 28, the Estate of Michael Jackson teamed up with Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil and Mandalay Bay to pay tribute to the King of Pop as they unveiled his iconic HIStory Statue. Featured on the cover of his world-famous album HIStory: Past, Present and Future Book 1, which became the best selling multiple disc album worldwide, the HIStory Statue is the third piece of memorabilia to be loaned by the Estate for display on the Mandalay Bay property.
The highly anticipated unveiling ceremony took place in the Main Lobby of Mandalay Bay, where fans had the opportunity to witness the live reveal of this historic sculpture. To welcome the piece, members from the cast of Michael Jackson ONE delivered a never-before-seen performance created especially for this event, dazzling the audience as they performed to “SCREAM,” the first single from the HIStory album. Following the performance, fans were able to meet and take photos with those cast members.
