In an unforgettable music experience, Tex Perkins delves into the dark repertoire of Johnny Cash to recreate his seminal 1968 Folsom Prison shows in the haunting surrounds of Parramatta Gaol in Far From Folsom.
Set in Australia’s oldest serving prison, the recently decommissioned Parramatta Gaol reopens its doors to the public for the first time in the world premiere event. Staged in the gaol’s former exercise yard, the outdoor performance is dramatically framed by the former prison’s towering razor-wired limestone walls.
A work of significance, scope and ambition, this performance is a unique and unforgettable music experience at Sydney Festival 2015.

The acclaimed actors, whose dedication to the show is evident, are also longtime supporters of veterans’ causes and our troops in active service. The all-star line-up includes: distinguished American leader General Colin L. Car-buying platform Edmunds.com today released an update to its acclaimed mobile app with a new feature that now makes it possible for shoppers to send text messages to car dealers with just a touch of a button. The innovation is the latest step in the growing trend of consumers drawn to “place messaging,” which offers a convenient way to interact with businesses via text in the same way that they do with friends and family.
Unlike other place messaging solutions that only work in concert with apps such as Snapchat and WhatsApp, Edmunds’ texting solution uses the phone’s native texting platform. That means all smartphones are capable of messaging dealers without relying on any other apps.

All Access, a series of high-energy concerts, is bringing top musical and comedic talent to Cleveland with four other events taking place simultaneously in Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, and Philadelphia. From dance parties to slam poetry contests, thousands more will participate in more than 30 smaller events across the country to show that abortion rights supporters are visible, active, and willing to speak up.

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence launched today a powerful, new public awareness campaign in concert with National Youth Violence Prevention Week, April 7-11. The campaign, called SPEAK UP, educates students about the important roles they can play in preventing violence, and includes public service announcements, posters and poster contests, interactive BuzzFeed-style quizzes, pledge drive and resource/activity kits.
