For the first time at SPIEF, three sessions of the Global CEO Summit were also held, organized jointly with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. As part of SPIEF 2014, 175 agreements were signed with Russian and foreign companies, including 15 agreements on the implementation of investment projects in various spheres of the economy worth a total of RUB 401.4 billion.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held from June 20 to 22, 2013 – this year’s theme was “Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy”.
2013 was a record SPIEF year for the number of attendees – 7190 people attended, from 87 countries, out of which total there were 1245 media representatives. The Russian and international business community was well represented – SPIEF 2013 was attended by 176 major foreign corporations and 436 large-scale Russian businesses. Out of the companies who attended, 67 leaders of the foreign businesses, and 24 leaders of the Russian corporations have Forbes or Fortune listings. Moreover, 327 representatives of official foreign delegations attended SPIEF 2013.

On December 4, 2013 a new Pulkovo Terminal 1 has started operating. Its total area exceeds 110,000 sq. m and it has a maximum capacity of 17 million passengers per year.
In the new terminal there are 88 check-in counters, 110 passport control booths, and 7 baggage belts, one of which can alternatively handle the luggage of passengers arriving by domestic or international flights. The terminal is equipped with jetways, 45 elevators, and 17 escalators. In compliance with the requirements of a barrier-free environment the terminal facilities are fully accessible for the people with disabilities.
