With the constant evolution of security threats, forward-thinking companies must closely scrutinize their security framework. Key components in an organization’s security infrastructure are digital certificates, which not only provide identification assurances, but also support secure data transfer. The IT departments of organizations may be tasked with managing, discovering and monitoring hundreds or even thousands of certificates, a massive duty in the grand scheme of protecting business critical information.
Frost & Sullivan’s white paper, Easing the Pains of Certificate Management: An Overview of Entrust, the No. 2 Provider of SSL Certificates in the Market, examines the need for digital certificates, as well as the responsibilities and challenges related to digital certificate management. The white paper pays particular attention to Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates, which are cryptographic protocols providing security and identification support, among the many types of digital certificates present at an organization.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) was given exclusive access to a 1981 Ferrari GTSI recovered at the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach earlier this month.
The car, one of 1,743 of that model made in 1981, was stolen in 1987 from Newport Beach, Calif., while on consignment at a dealership. The vehicle identification number (VIN) was later switched to the VIN of a 1982 Ferrari that had already been exported to Norway in 2005. When the vehicle arrived at the port, it was headed from Texas to Poland.
Working with Customs and Border Protection, the California Highway Patrol and Ferrari representatives, NICB was able to determine the true identity of the car and to recover the original theft report filed with Newport Beach Police in 1987. NICB records showed only 12 stolen red Ferraris still unrecovered at this time.

The U.S. workforce is changing and, with it, so are the ways in which employees are being relocated for companies across the United States. Cartus Corporation, a leading provider of global relocation services, recently released its 2017 Domestic U.S. Relocation Policy and Practices Survey results, a report that examines the responses of 141 mobility managers representing more than 10 million employees. While the overall survey explores trends in how companies are supporting home sale for transferring employees, responding to a growing rental population, and developing intern programs, the primary finding is the identification of a changing pattern in employee relocation, in which an increasing demand for flexibility is translating into different types of work transfers.
