Mirage Box is a creative collaboration between Nick Coppola, a prolific songwriter and lyricist, and Chris Capozza, a multi-instrumentalist audio engineer and music producer. Mirage Box seeks to be indefinable to one genre of music. Influenced by The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Yes, Kansas, Genesis, Dream Theater, CS&N, The Who, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Sex Pistols, Chicago, Styx, Asia, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, Soundgarden, Boston and Steely Dan, writers Nick and Chris combine various styles as the vehicles of their original music, often employing Mellotrons, MiniMoogs, B3s and Leslies, Taurus Pedals, doublenecks, Rickenbackers, Hofners, Les Pauls, Telecasters as well as orchestral and brass sections to create epic music, brimming with melodies, countermelodies, cannons, counterpoints and lush vocal harmonies. The UNESCO world heritage site that is Skellig Michael is located on the Wild Atlantic Way on Ireland’s west coast and has been wowing audiences since the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where the final scenes of this record-breaking movie were filmed.
This exclusive behind the scenes video gives fans a unique insight into the film makers’ choice of Skellig Michael as a location for Star Wars & how it fit with Abram’s goal of creating a real & authentic backdrop for the movie.
Tommy Harper, the Executive producer recalls the moment they discovered the Skellig islands:
“I got an email from Rick Carter [Production Designer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens]. He sent this link, and it was Skellig Island. J.J. [Director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens] immediately wrote back and said, “I love you! This is the best.””
Since 1977, the renowned movie franchise has travelled through many galaxies, and this time, director J.J. Abrams along with cast and crew jetted into a little village called Portmagee, County Kerry, on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. From here, they travelled eight miles (12 Km) by sea to a dream film location, Skellig Michael, which the crew described as “from another time and place”.

The 23 year old JAMES MOONY proves how energetic and confident a young artist can sound on his debut album. “Emer g enc y“ is a bubbling hybrid of Jamaican Dancehall, Southern HipHop and British Grime which doesn t knock on club doors but storms on the dancefloor and tears down anything in ist way. It isn t hard to hear that JAMES MOONY is at his best firing lines over mighty basses, never giving the listener a chance to catch his breath. His presence on the microphone allows him to cope without any features on all 13 tracks. It s all about his visions, his lyrics and his voice. The album was recorded and produced by the producer trio Come Clean, who supplied the young vocalist with energetic instrumentals. jamesmoony Born in Ghanas Capital Accra, in 1985, Mumuni Mohammed gathered his first musical experiences singing in the local choir. In the mid 90s he then moved to Austria s Capital Vienna, together with his parents. It was in Vienna where he had his initial contact with the club atmosphere and discovered his passion for driving, electronic sounds. In the year 2000 he then took his first own musical steps, setting up his home studio and absolving his first shows. Two years later he became a part of KDC, a HipHop and Dancehall formation, with whom he performed in Clubs in and around the cities borders. In the year 2007 JAMES MOONY moved again. This time he decided to reside in Germany s Capital, or more specifically Berlin-Kreuzberg, where the producer trio Come Clean took up their work with him. The first product of their cooperation is EMERGENCY, his cutting edge debut
