Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, and luxury hotel curator Tablet Hotels are launching a Get Away Lodge in Northern Sweden; a peaceful retreat for people wanting to reconnect with their passions in life.
Launched in conjunction with Volvo Cars’ all-weather premium estate, the V90 Cross Country, and part of a bigger campaign promoting work-life balance, the Swedish automaker has teamed up with Tablet Hotels, the original online hotel curator, to offer a one-of–a-kind experience in the snowy serenity of the Swedish mountains.
For an exclusive period of time, people can book the secluded Get Away Lodge, situated just outside the buzzing winter sports village of Åre in Jämtland County, Northern Sweden. The traditional-looking mountain lodge has been newly renovated and carefully furnished with a mix of Scandinavian design and mindfulness.

In partnership with the National Parks Conservation Association, Arrowhead® Brand Mountain Spring Water held the first jointly supported, volunteer-based restoration project at the iconic Joshua Tree National Park to help revitalize and restore the park, leading up to its 75th Anniversary. Breaking ground on Saturday, October 23, Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water representatives teamed-up with park officials and community volunteers to restore two highly travelled areas of the park – the Hidden Valley Trailhead and trails leading out to the popular rock climbing area, Houser Buttress. Volcanic Action host for Luxuria Music and Los Angeles native Domenic Priore has 20 years of experience in TV and film production. In college, he began his career by producing his own public access TV show, It's Happening!, a tribute to 1960's dance shows like Shindig! and Ready, Steady, Go!

A new national survey shows most preteens and teens engage in day-to-day activities that may put them at risk of contracting meningococcal meningitis, a rare, but serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and take the life of an otherwise healthy child in just a single day. The National Association of School Nurses (NASN), in collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur, conducted the survey as part of its Voices of Meningitis back-to-school vaccination awareness initiative.

Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, was on hand last month as Blazing Hope Ranch, a nonprofit organization in Dayton, Tenn., that aids survivors of human trafficking, commemorated its new H.O.P.E. Haven facilities at a recent dedication ceremony.
H.O.P.E. -- Healing, Opportunity, Protection and Education -- Haven will serve as transitional living quarters for the survivors in the Blazing Hope Ranch program. In 2016 Vanderbilt Mortgage donated two modular homes previously used for company housing to Blazing Hope Ranch that currently make up H.O.P.E. Haven. The four bedroom, two bathroom homes will be used to house female survivors and live-in mentors while they go through the organization’s program.
