LIFEWTR, the premium water brand that believes art is as essential to life as water, is committing to advancing arts education in schools nationwide as the foundation of where creativity begins. New research shows we are heading toward a creativity crisis in schools – 91% of American parents agree that arts education is important to teach children to think outside the box, yet 4 in 5 people say that arts education is not being offered as much as it once wasi. This week, in partnership with Americans for the Arts during its National Arts Action Summit, LIFEWTR announced its commitment to making every day vibrant by infusing creativity into schools across the U.S., reaching 10 million students through school and community beautification projects and arts education programming as part of its continued collaboration with Scholastic.
“At LIFEWTR we believe that arts education plays an invaluable role in helping students achieve success and reach their full potential in school and beyond,” said Alexis Porter, Senior Director, LIFEWTR Marketing. “Students involved in the arts are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievementii, which is why it’s more important than ever to #BringArtBackToSchools. Through our collaboration with Scholastic and Americans for the Arts, we are making a concerted effort to impact 10 million students nationwide through arts education programming and to preserve the critical source of where creativity begins, in our schools.”

The Ad Council and the Natural Resources Defense Council today launched “Save The Food,” a major national public service campaign to combat food waste from its largest source—consumers, who collectively waste more food than grocery stores, restaurants or farms. The initiative hopes to encourage consumers to reduce the amount of food they trash in their homes, thereby saving the water, energy and money that are lost along with it. Watch the TV ad here.
“As it turns out, we can’t blame the epidemic of food waste on our kids’ aversion to vegetables. We’re all culprits here, tossing out staggering amounts of food in kitchens nationwide,” said NRDC President Rhea Suh. “But with small steps, we can save large amounts of food —and along with it, money and precious natural resources. The more food we save, the more we can share with hungry Americans, the more we can reduce climate pollution, and the more water won’t go to waste.”
In the U.S., 40 percent of all food goes uneaten each year, at a cost of $162 billion annually. Consumers are responsible for 40 percent of this waste—more than any other part of the supply chain. It’s a problem that costs the average family of four roughly $1,500 per year.

The scene is set. Hundreds of glass beakers are stacked one on top of the next, containing every imaginable fuel source—from hydrogen to ethanol, natural gas and algae oil—to form a larger-than-life wall. Suddenly, a Lexus LS 600h approaches, accelerates and shatters the wall, creating a kaleidoscope of glass and liquids. The voice-over states: “Lexus Hybrid Drive technology is designed to optimize any fuel source on the planet, even those we don’t know about yet.”

The scene opens in a dark room. A human form constructed of 119 points of light moves through space as if it is riding in an invisible vehicle. Suddenly, a more vibrant, detailed human form, with bones, muscles and organs constructed from 2,000,000 points of light, comes in to view, traveling toward the first figure. The two forms collide. Viewed in slow motion, we see that there is no comparison between an ordinary crash test dummy and a Lexus crash test genius in the throes of an accident.

Let’s Win, an initiative supported by the Lustgarten Foundation, launched the Let’s Win! Pancreatic Cancer Survivors video series Friday, January 19, 2018, at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium. The new online video series, featuring long-term pancreatic cancer survivors of all ages and diverse backgrounds, has been created to show pancreatic cancer patients and their families that people do survive this disease. The survivors have responded exceptionally well to pancreatic cancer therapy that incorporates clinical trials and treatments that go beyond traditional protocols.
When patients are first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, they often turn to the internet, only to find devastating and frightening statistics about the disease. “Our goal is to provide hope and inspiration to patients and their families,” says Cindy Gavin, founding executive director of Let’s Win. “We are so grateful for the incredible vision of one special patient and the generosity of The Flora Family Foundation for their support of this incredible initiative.”

Visionworks and Davis Vision kicked off 2017 continuing their work to raise awareness about the importance of annual eye exams for school-aged children by increasing the number of vouchers and glasses they will donate this school year from 10,000 to 15,000. Through their joint initiative, Let’s Go See has already donated more than 8,300 vouchers since the 2016-17 school year started.
“The Let's Go See program has been instrumental in our efforts to spread awareness of the need for annual eye exams for school-aged children. We feel honored to help families provide eye exams and glasses to their kids, and look forward to continuing our mission,” said Jim Eisen, president and CEO of HVHC Inc., and president of Visionworks.
Between dental checkups, doctor's exams, and everything else parents do to keep kids healthy, children’s vision often gets overlooked. Many parents wait until their child has expressed an issue with their vision before taking them for an eye exam, but according to Prevent Blindness America, 1 in 4 school-aged children in the United States has a vision problem, which if left untreated can affect learning ability, personality, and adjustments in school.

LETRA / LYRICS:
The night we met I knew
I needed you so
Que se clavó como
Una flecha en mi corazón
So won't you say you love me
I'll make you so proud of me
Ya no quiero nunca
Escaparme de tu amor
Si quieres tú
Be my, be my baby
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Say you'll be my darlin' (be my, be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Puedes estar seguro
De que te haré feliz
Y que mis besos serán
Solo para ti
Oh since the day I saw you
I had been waiting for you
You know I will adore you
'til eternity
Si quieres tú (be my, be my baby)
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Sabes que te amo (be my, be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Woh oh oh oh oh
Be my, be my baby
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Sabes que te amo (be my, be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Woh oh oh oh oh
Si juras que me amas
Prometo ser tu dama
Y amarte para siempre
Mas allá de la razón
Si quieres tú (be my, be my baby)
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Sabes que te amo (be my, be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Woh oh oh oh oh
Mambo!
Your Grace!
C'mon! C'mon!
Si quieres tú (be my, be my baby)
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Say you'll be my darling (be my, be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Woh oh oh oh oh
Be my, be my baby
Be my little baby (my one and only baby)
Sabes que te amo (be my be my baby)
Be my baby now!
Woh oh oh oh oh

they. The long term effect? A network exclusively made of real people!
