Wave energy developer Eco Wave Power Ltd is pleased to announce that Eco Wave Power's Energy Project was formally opened by the Chief Minister, Hon. Fabian R Picardo and by the Minister of Health, Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Dr. John Cortes, and is now exporting electricity into Gibraltar's power grid.

The Gibraltarian Project was officially "switched-on" by the Chief Minister of Gibraltar, Hon. Fabian R Picardo and by the Minister of Health, Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Dr. John Cortes. Gibraltar Electric Authority (Gibraltar's National Electric Company) is the purchaser of the entire Project's power.
The Project is the first grid connected Eco Wave Power plant and the only wave power plant anywhere in Europe, operating multiple wave units, under Commercial PPA terms.

It’s time to Rock the Red Kettle this holiday season with the fourth annual free concert hosted by The Salvation Army and produced by Ned Specktor of Specktor Media. Music veteran Kelly Rowland will kick off the concert at Universal CityWalk’s “5 Towers” concert venue in Los Angeles by celebrating the work of The Salvation Army before turning over the mic to hot new artists Bean, Coco Jones and headliner Austin Mahone. Aurora Flight Sciences announced today that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded the company the prime contract for Phase 2 of the Agency’s Vertical Takeoff and Landing Experimental Plane (VTOL X-Plane) program.
VTOL X-Plane seeks to develop a technology demonstrator that could:
• Achieve a top sustained flight speed of 300 kt-400 kt
• Raise aircraft hover efficiency from 60 percent to at least 75 percent
• Present a more favorable cruise lift-to-drag ratio of at least 10, up from 5-6
• Carry a useful load of at least 40 percent of the vehicle’s projected gross weight of 10,000-12,000 pounds
The Aurora team’s design for its unmanned aircraft, named LightningStrike, seeks to provide an approximately 50-percent increase in speed over existing VTOL aircraft designed for comparable mission applications.

Auf großer Tour durch den VRS, mit dem CSD-Ticket, 1 Tag zahlen – 2,5 Tage fahren, zu sehen gibt es Eindrücke aus Gerolstein, Jünkterrath, Kall, Meschernich, Bonn und Linz, und natürlich auch den Talent und die legendäre BR218.
Im Teil 5 bei „Auf grosser Tour durch den VRS“ mit dem Karnevalsticket wurde nur die Stadt Scheven besucht. Die Tour wurde am Bahnhof begonnen. Eigentlich gab es nicht viel zu sehen in Scheven. Oder doch? Der Karnevalsumzug. Und bei Minute 09:00 bis 09:45 ist auch mal der Filmemacher zu sehen, der Kamelle sammelt.
Besucht wurden unter anderen im 5. Teil im Aggertal die Staedte Overath und Roesrath.
Zu sehen gab es bei der Wanderung durch diese Staedte auch sehr viel Schnee im Februar 2010.
The Audi Group once again set records for deliveries, revenue and key earnings data in the fiscal year 2011. The brand with the four rings sold more than 1.3 million cars in the past year, at the same time increasing revenue to €44.1 billion. Operating profit for the Audi Group rose to over €5.3 billion in the past fiscal year. The operating return on sales climbed from 9.4 to 12.1 percent.
