GAC Motor, China’s leading automaker, released a new brand image and corporate culture for the company’s decennial celebration. The new vision, which aims to highlight the aspirations of one of China’s leading auto brands as it begins to embark on its next stage of development.

A volunteer team from GAC Motor’s wetland ambassador program (“the Program”) has successfully concluded the July tour to Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve (SNNR), where they travelled to the Donggi Conag Lake to conduct biodiversity survey with ecologists from World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
In the three-day field survey, the team joined by media representatives documented the distribution and number of plateau wildlife species such as goa, bharal and yellow-billed teal and observed the plantation, hydrography, atmosphere and sunlight. The data will be used to evaluate habitat conditions and threat levels to help make future conservation plans.

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2015, the showcase event for the best that the automotive industry has on offer, opened in Detroit on January 12. As the only Chinese carmaker exhibiting at the show, GAC Motor made its blockbuster appearance with three proprietary models, among which, for one model, the GS4, the show was the vehicle’s world debut, drawing the attention of leading media organizations worldwide.

As the primary source of biofuels in North America, many organizations are conducting research in the area of ethanol production. The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) is a research division of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville dedicated solely to ethanol-based biofuel research projects. On the federal level, the USDA conducts a large amount of research regarding ethanol production in the United States. Much of this research is targeted toward the effect of ethanol production on domestic food markets. A division of the U.S. Department of Energy, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), has also conducted various ethanol research projects, mainly in the area of cellulosic ethanol.
Georgia Power announced today the latest addition to its industry-leading electric transportation program –electric vehicle (EV) charger rebates for residential customers and new home builders. Introduced as part of the company’s Get Current. Drive Electric.™ initiative, the new rebate program offers qualifying residential customers a $250 rebate for installing a Level 2 charger (208/240-volt) and qualifying new construction builders a $100 rebate for each dedicated 240-volt plug-in ready circuit installed in new homes.
