The prestigious award named UH Case Medical Center the top hospital in the nation for its leadership and innovation in quality improvement and safety.
UH Case Medical Center was selected by a multi-disciplinary committee of health care quality and patient safety experts. The American Hospital Association (AHA)-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize is presented annually and UH Case Medical Center is the first large, urban academic medical center to earn this coveted prize.

University Hospitals (UH) Case Medical Center has announced a $250 million initiative that promises to dramatically change how drugs will advance from discovery in the laboratories to commercialization, resulting in greater access to advanced treatments and cures for patients. On Saturday, May 30, 2015, four space shuttle astronauts will be inducted into the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame® during a public ceremony held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Space Shuttle AtlantisSM attraction: John Grunsfeld, Ph. D., Steven Lindsey, Kent Rominger, and M. Rhea Seddon, M.D.
These astronaut heroes will join the ranks of well-known space explorers including Alan Shepard, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. This year marks the historic 25th anniversary of the Hall of Fame, which was conceived in the 1980s by the six remaining Mercury astronauts as a place where space explorers could be remembered. Steve Scott became one of the greatest mile runners in American history by taking a strategic approach to his craft. Now 58, Scott is seeking a competitive advantage of a different sort since recently being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Scott publicly revealed his current cancer battle today at the Cougar Challenge, a cross country meet at California State University San Marcos, where he is head coach of the track and field and cross country programs.

In its 25th year, Toyota’s annual Opportunity Exchange (OE) has resulted in more than $250 million in contracts for M/WBEs.
The two-day event – which included best-practice seminars, panel discussions and a trade show – concluded Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA) started OE with about 100 attendees, and it has grown to become one of the largest minority business events in the country – attracting nearly 2,000 people who attend the event free of charge.
