HBO Latino, Home Box Office’s dedicated Spanish-language premium channel, will present a sensational slate of first-run entertainment through Fall 2012, certain to appeal to the today’s multigenerational and bilingual Hispanic households.
Making their U.S. television premieres exclusively on the service this fall are the first season of the HBO Latin America series Prófugos and sixteen Spanish-language films under the banner Estrenos Latinos. The HBO documentary film The Latino List: Volume Two, a follow-up to last year’s The Latino List, will also make its debut on the channel.
In addition, Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters and HBO’s award-winning and critically acclaimed originals, including new season premieres of Boardwalk Empire® and Treme® will be offered in Spanish.

When it comes to home décor, one of the easiest ways to update a room is with a fresh coat of paint. The contest runs through May 25 and tests the design skills of six DIY home décor bloggers as they transform a space in need of a makeover.

Esurance caused a bit of a scene. The home and auto insurer staged a fender bender to encourage safe driving, an important message to address the recent series of car accidents caused by people playing mobile games while driving.
The scene on Chicago’s popular Magnificent Mile featured a car’s run-in with a hot dog cart, all caused by a fictional distracted driver and Esurance mobile game-inspired creature that causes fender benders, the Fenderbendix. As visitors walked past the jarring scene, they discovered that nobody was hurt. And they learned an important message about safe driving, smart people #DontCatchAndDrive.
“We’re always looking for unexpected, relatable ways to connect with people. Staging this scene allowed us to capture people’s attention and send an important message about safe driving,” said Alan Gellman, chief marketing officer at Esurance. “We understand the appeal of exciting modern technology like augmented reality gaming, but we want people to be smart about how they use it.”

To help ensure his safety they recruit a motley band of fellow sympathisers, friends and acquaintances, all skilled in martial arts combat to act as Sun’s bodyguards. Additionally, they devise a risky plan to secretly replace the assassins’ target with a human decoy in an attempt to lead the killers away from their quarry.

Cleverly taking his time to establish his characters, their back-stories, motives and sub-plots in the deliberately paced first half of the film, director Chan expertly unleashes a barrage of non-stop, action set-pieces in a final hour that will leave viewers breathless.
Among the many standout sequences in a film that manages to be as emotionally involving and moving as it is exciting are a brilliantly directed sequence that echoes Brian De Palma’s homage (from “The Untouchables”) to Eisenstein’s famous Odessa Steps sequence from “Battleship Potemkin”, an extended free-running duel involving Donnie Yen and Cung Le, and a ‘man versus horse’ confrontation that is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
