In 2011 we started out as a non-profit organization in Shreveport, Louisiana. We’ve since begun dedicating ourselves to helping those in the Memphis, Tennessee, area with job preparation training and utility payment assistance. We operate a youth development program that collects school uniforms, coats and supplies for children who are in need – and that’s only the beginning. We also offer Bible study for those who desire to be nourished by the everlasting Word.
You see, we believe that our services all go hand-in-hand. When you know, understand and follow God’s Word, you’ll see opportunities that were previously invisible to your eyes. You’ll find your calling in life. You’ll be able to successfully support your household. And your children will know that there’s always hope in God’s hands. It starts with one simple step, and we’re aiming to be that catalyst for change.

Nearly 7.5 million students (K – 12th grade) are chronically absent every school year – missing enough school to put them at severe risk of dropping out or failing to graduate. Chronic absenteeism, which is defined as missing at least 10 percent of school days in a given year, or about 18 days, affects the educational outcomes of millions of students. In order to inspire parents of 5th through 8th graders to recognize the crucial role regular attendance, even in the early years, plays in high school graduation, the U.S. Army and the Ad Council are unveiling a new series of public service advertisements (PSAs) created pro bono by advertising agency Publicis Kaplan Thaler.

In celebration of Adopt a Cat Month, beloved animated cat and international icon Garfield has joined The Shelter Pet Project in several new videos and sharable graphics to show the love and joy that shelter pets bring to their owners’ lives. In the new public service ads (PSAs), characters Garfield and Odie encourage audiences to visit TheShelterPetProject.org to meet cats and dogs available for adoption at local shelters and rescue groups.
