According to a recent survey, active adults aren’t slowing down. The survey found that 62 percent of adults ages 30-49 continue to work out as much – and with the same or more intensity – as they did in their 20s. More than half would like to ramp up their performance and do more of what they love, but are stopped by pain and the risk of injuries.
Massage Envy’s new, proprietary assisted stretching service, called Total Body Stretch, is designed to help people perform at their best, ease the muscle pain and tension that comes with activity, and resist injuries.
Developed for Massage Envy by an acclaimed chiropractor, massage therapist and ergonomist and performed by a stretching professional, the Total Body Stretch service is built around the company’s proprietary Streto Method, a sequence of 10 targeted stretches designed to increase flexibility, mobility and performance.

INRIX®, Inc., a global leader for transportation analytics, today released its 2015 Traffic Scorecard, a benchmark for governments and agencies in the U.S. and Europe to measure progress in improving urban mobility.
The report reveals the U.S. faces large challenges to solve congestion issues, fueled by continued economic and population growth, higher employment rates and declining gas prices. Cities that have experienced the most economic improvement during the past year are at highest risk for consequences related to worsened traffic conditions, including reduced productivity, higher emissions and increased stress levels. For example, Washington D.C., San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Boston all saw reduced unemployment rates bringing them below the national average of 5.3 percent for 2015.1 However, according to the INRIX Traffic Scorecard, congestion in those cities alone combined to waste 1.5 billion hours for daily car commuters last year. Nationwide, commuters spent a total of more than eight billion extra hours stuck in traffic, representing almost 50 hours per driver.

Decorated U.S. war veteran Romulo (Romy) Camargo starts his day like most of us. He wakes up, gets a drink of water, has some breakfast, brushes his teeth, and gets dressed. But for Camargo, whose injuries in Afghanistan left him paralyzed from the neck down, these morning routines require some assistance. And Toyota is learning how to help.
Thanks to Camargo, Toyota recently completed the first North American in-home trial of the Human Support Robot (HSR). The HSR is one of the “partner robots” Toyota is developing to assist people with everyday activities. Toyota is actively researching ways to apply advanced technologies to help people with limited mobility, including seniors or those who are disabled.
