Moving can be stressful, but with a new application for the Apple iPad from State Farm®, anyone can get help with their next move. Called “MoveTools™,” this application is a relocation planning and household inventory assistant. It is free to download and is designed specifically for the Apple iPad. MoveTools™ gives people a fresh approach to planning a move; all the resources needed are in one place. With MoveTools™, users can customize a weekly moving checklist to help plan their move and then create an inventory of their possessions. Users can then create and print “smart labels” with digital QR Codes, which can be read by smartphones with barcode reading applications. A quick scan of the label on a box will display a list of what’s packed inside. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/statefarm/48163/

Every 26 seconds in America, a student drops out of high school. State Farm today announced the launch of a campaign to address this startling statistic and engage those who can most directly affect change – young people themselves. The campaign titled “26 Seconds,” will use interests – like music, sports and video – to engage youth. It will provide an online venue for youth to express feelings on the issue and creatively share thoughts and talents – encouraging them and their peers to make graduation a priority so they become more than a statistic. The program’s tagline “BMOR” underscores this call to action. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/26seconds/49098/

http://fitnessweightlosscenter.com - Standing Barbell Curls - Biceps Workout - A fantastic exercise for isolating the biceps muscles. Everyone wants to show off their guns and the standing barbell curl is a great way to pump up your biceps. As with all exercises to get the maximum results you need to perform the exercise correctly. The single biggest mistake people make when performing the standing barbell curl is swinging the body back. This defeats the whole purpose of the exercise which is to isolate the biceps muscle. Your body should remain fixed and only the biceps muscles used to lift the weight. If you can't lift the weight without swinging your body back then you need to use less weight until you can effectively perform the exercise. Another mistake people make is not keeping your elbows tucked into your sides. You should not let your elbows leave your side. Again, we are going for the isolation of the biceps and you do not want to use any other muscles or movements to lift the weight. The third most common mistake when performing the standing barbell curl is to drop the weight too quickly. To maximize the effectiveness of the exercise you need to slowly lower the weight back to the starting position. If you can't lower the weight slowly you need to reduce the weight until you can. By isolating the biceps on the way up and on the way down you will get amazing results with the standing barbell curl. “Across the country we’re seeing an alarming number of what we call staged accidents,” said Joe Wehrle, NICB president and chief executive officer. “These are crashes that are made to look like accidents, but in reality are carefully orchestrated scenarios aimed at collecting medical and vehicle damage payments from insurers. The simple truth is they are expensive and dangerous. We are working with our member insurance companies and law enforcement partners to put the people that commit these crimes behind bars.” To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/nicb/43814/

Changes in the treatment of pediatric cancer over recent decades have translated to a reduced risk of serious, long-term late health effects of cancer therapy. This is according to the latest analysis from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS), a National Cancer Institute-funded resource for late-effects research, led by investigators at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “This is the first comprehensive study to demonstrate how changes in treatments over time have impacted the occurrence of late effects experienced by childhood cancer survivors,” said Todd Gibson, Ph.D., assistant member of the Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control at St. Jude. “We found the 15-year cumulative incidence of people reporting at least one severe health condition decreased from 12.7 percent among childhood cancer survivors diagnosed in the 1970s to 10.1 percent for those diagnosed in the 1980s to 8.8 percent in the 1990s–a statistically significant decline.” To view the multimedia release go to: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/7924756-st-jude-childhood-cancer-survivorship-asco-2017/
