Wir haben auf der IAA mal geschaut, was sich in Sachen Sportwagen getan hat. Revolution oder Evolution? Ob es für ein exklusives Auto immer einer Revolution bedarf, beantwortet Bugatti auf eine ganz eigene Weise. Dieser Grand Sport Vitesse mag auf den ersten Blick unspektakulär wirken. Er ist aber Bestandteil einer sechsteiligen Edition namens „Bugatti Legends“. Eine Revolution sucht man auch beim Contiental GT V8 vergebens. Verglichen mit dem Lamborghini fällt diese allerdings gemäßigter aus. Bei Lamborghini hat man sich auf Evolution konzentriert. Mit der neuesten Version namens Squadra Corse haben sich die Ingenieure vom Rennauto aus dem Trofeo-Markenpokal inspirieren lassen. Porsche Weltpremiere mit dem neuen 911 Turbo, alles in allem eher eine Evolution. Die Revolution findet sich in Form des 918 Spyder.

Nach rund vier Jahren Bauzeit hat der Frankfurter Flughafen heute den Flugsteig A-Plus – die 800 Meter lange Westerweiterung des Terminals 1, planmäßig eröffnet. Mit seiner Inbetriebnahme kann das größte deutsche Luftverkehrsdrehkreuz nun sechs Millionen zusätzliche Passagiere und somit insgesamt rund 65 Millionen Fluggäste pro Jahr abfertigen. Das 700 Millionen Euro teure Gebäude steht exklusiv der Deutschen Lufthansa AG sowie ihren Partnern des Luftfahrtbündnisses Star Alliance zur Verfügung und ist insbesondere auf die Abfertigung von Großraumflugzeugen wie dem Airbus 380 oder der Boeing 747 ausgelegt.

Automechanika is certainly the most exciting success story in 45 years. The story began in 1971 with the first Automechanika in Frankfurt, which was christened when the IAA was cancelled. Volkswagen lädt das Modellspektrum mit einem neuen extrem effizienten Elektrofahrzeug auf: dem neuen e-up!. Das Elektroauto debütiert auf der Internationalen Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt und steht bereits ab Oktober bei den VW-Händlern. Der Grundpreis einschließlich Batterie beträgt 26.900 Euro. Die Wolfsburger hoffen, dass ihr erster Stromer vielleicht nicht auf Anhieb, aber doch nach weiteren Verbesserrungen in der Lade-Infrastruktur zum ersten „Volks-Elektroauto“ wird. Mit dem e-up! startet ein Elektrofahrzeug der neuesten Generation, das dank innovativer Detaillösungen besonders sparsam mit der eingesetzten Energie umgeht. So verbraucht der e-up! lediglich 11,7 kWh/100 km. Bei einem durchschnittlichen Strompreis von 25,8 Cent (Deutschland, 2013) kosten 100 Kilometer Fahrt nur noch 3,02 Euro. Die wegweisende Effizienz des e-up! ist auf den für ein Auto dieser Größe sehr guten cw-Wert von 0,308, einen optimierten Rollwiderstand, die generell sparsamen Antriebskomponenten, das hochwirksame Rekuperationssystem und innovative Ausstattungsmodule wie eine besonders sparsam arbeitende Klimaautomatik zurückzuführen.

Messe Frankfurt is continuing to expand its presence in Russia with the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Comtrans and Autotrans by its Russian subsidiary Messe Frankfurt RUS. The remaining 50 percent will be assumed by ITE Expo OOO, the Russian subsidiary of the ITE Group. The new Joint Venture organizing company is ITEMF Expo AO.
Comtrans – which has had the status of International Commercial Vehicle Auto Show since 2011 – will present the latest models of modern motor trucks, buses, trailers and their parts from September 8-12 at Crocus Expo in Moscow.
