Throngs of fans lined up at Sands® Cotai Central Saturday evening, hoping to catch a glimpse of the glittering array of celebrities walking the red carpet on their way to a VIP gala dinner at Sheraton Macao Hotel, part of Sands Cotai Central’s A Night of Stars event.
Celebrities gracing the red carpet, to the delighted screams and cheers of their fans, included Sammo Hung, Carol “Dodo” Cheng, Frances Yip, Chang Chen, Wu Chun, Ekin Cheng, Chilam Cheung, Karena Lam, Grasshopper and Sandrine Pinna, along with Vincent Kok and Sire Ma, who were masters of ceremony at the gala dinner – a celebration for the integrated resort’s VIP customers. Youth homelessness charity Centrepoint and promoters SO-UK have brought together some of the biggest names in UK Soul, Blues and R ‘n’ B for one night only at Indigo O2 on 17th April to help give homeless young people a future.
‘SO-UK: Centrepoint Sessions’ is a sublime evening of UK Soul starring much loved artists from the UK soul movement: Carl McIntosh and the Loose Ends Experience, Omar, Junior, Imaani, Terri Walker, Don-e, Natasha Watts, Maya Blu, Femi Fem, Ronnie Herel, Fitzroy Facey (Soul Survivors), Sammy Confunktion – all keeping the vibe alive till the early hours. Young people supported by Centrepoint will also be performing during the evening.

Skate Jam 2008: Worapoj 'Note' Boonnim, the world ranked Thai skater came to Hong Kong. Alex Cheung, Hong Kongs 3 event record holder in swimming, interviews the maniacs on wheels. The rollers dodged rabbits and wrestlers to fly high fly and fall hard all day long. But smooth was the order of busines as these skaters caught air and slid fine into the evening. Robert Morris University marked its 90th anniversary Tuesday evening during a celebration at its new School of Business complex, the centerpiece of a $40 million fundraising campaign.
Robert Morris was founded on Sept. 21, 1921, in downtown Pittsburgh as the Pittsburgh School of Accountancy. The new 18,000-square-foot School of Business complex, which includes The PNC Trading Center, The United States Steel Corporation Video Conferencing and Technology Center, and The ATI Center, gives the university’s business school its first official home at its suburban Pittsburgh campus.
