The CIGNA Health Awareness Tour Mobile Learning Lab is an experiential exhibit on 18 wheels that helps to raise awareness and understanding of traditional and non-traditional influencers of health. Many health awareness efforts seek to increase individual understanding of the importance of key “numbers” or medical indicators of health, such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels. While these measures are important, the Mobile Learning Lab takes awareness to a new level, challenging guests to look at health more holistically. Starting today, your smart phone can make you smarter about your health. Cigna is launching a new mobile app to help customers take better control of their health and health spending. Throughout 2013 Cigna will release upgraded app capabilities, including accurate pricing and quality information on doctors and hospitals for more than 200 medical procedures according to the real-time status of the customer’s health plan and available health account funds. Global health service company Cigna Corporation (NYSE: CI) today unveiled a new initiative championing its whole person approach to health and well-being. The company is bringing together three cultural icons, Queen Latifah, Nick Jonas and Ted Danson, to encourage everyone to schedule their annual check-up and talk openly and honestly with their health care providers about how they are feeling, physically and emotionally. Filmed in Los Angeles, the campaign takes a public service message approach and features the three influencers taking unique steps to find balance in their hectic personal and professional lives.
