The annual East-West debates of the Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) closed here with an announcement that the next meeting will take place within the context of Kazakhstan’s world exhibition, Astana EXPO-2017, on June 22-23 next year.
The Forum will be held at one of the platforms of the exhibition in the capital of Kazakhstan, The Chairperson of the Forum’s Organizing Committee, Dariga Nazarbayeva, announced at the end of the Forum.
This year’s Forum, the 13th in a series, brought together more than 550 delegates for three days, from April 20-22, in the heart of Central Asia to discuss the most pressing current issues.
Summing up at the final session, Dr Nazarbayeva said all the harsh developments taking place in the world today were caused not by a conflict of civilizations, but by the process of adaptation of different civilizations, getting used to each other.

Astana Economic Forum 2015 is set to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan 21-22 of May, with the main topic of the forum being “Infrastructure - a driver of sustainable economic growth”.
The Europe and Asia forum aims to raise discussion around the issues of modernisation of public administration institutes, as well as the role of state institutes in stimulating innovations.
A group of experts, heads of financial institutions and high-level statesmen will also be looking at how a partnership between Europe and Asia would ensure global growth and create a competitive ecosystem to support innovation efforts in both regions.

The 5th Astana Economic Forum devoted to the challenges and perspectives of economic development in a time of global transformation, will be held from May 22-24, 2012, in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana.
Forum participants will include the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev; the former President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Horst Köhler; the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani; the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan; the Prime Minister of Georgia, Gilayri Nicoloz Zyrabovich; 25 active and former ministers, 40 leaders of international organizations, corporations and businesses, 11 Nobel Prize winners and other eminent thinkers.

The Astana Economic Forum is among the world’s most prestigious expert dialogue platforms. In 2015, in accordance with tradition, the event was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana city, and counted more than 5,000 participants from around 100 countries. The first International Forum "Future Energy: reducing CO2 emissions" has laid the foundations for the preparation of strategic content for EXPO-2017, the starting point of a broad international dialogue on its subject, "Future Energy".
The event was a platform for the development of research projects on the subject of the exhibition and its sub-topics: reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the introduction of energy-efficient technologies and the provision of universal access to sustainable energy.
