The go-to-destination for home improvement television is asking viewers to share evidence of their desperate landscapes with the Network in hopes of receiving a $25,000 yard makeover. Now through Monday, April 30, 2012, homeowners can upload photos and videos of their ugly front yards to DIYNetwork.com.
In this fifth annual challenge where ugly wins, the prize is a complete landscape makeover, courtesy of DIY Network expert host and licensed contractor Jason Cameron and his Desperate Landscapes crew. The winner will also appear on America’s Most Desperate Landscape, a one-hour special documenting the search and build, which premieres on DIY Network Wednesday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET.

The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck hosted the eighth-annual More Magazine | Fitness Magazine Women’s Half-Marathon in Central Park on April 3rd. More and Fitness magazines in partnership with New York Road Runners, welcomed nearly 10,000 runners for the biggest women’s-only half marathon in the country. Hasselbeck also participated in the race, running her first half marathon with her own Team Nogii to raise money for Celiac Disease research, an autoimmune disease from which she suffers. Hasselbeck finished with a time of 1:44:32.
