Grapevine, Texas has some new characters in town. The interesting thing is, you have to look upwards 75 feet toward Grapevine’s Glockenspiel Clock Tower to see them.
Grapevine recently dedicated its 127-foot-high Clock Tower featuring two larger-than-life, 9-foot tall Glockenspiel characters, known as the Would-Be Train Robbers, Nat Barrett and Willy Majors. Located 75 feet in the air within the Clock Tower, these figures emerge each day shortly before the stroke of noon and 6 p.m. to attempt the perfect heist. Just as Glockenspiels in Europe are rooted in history, Grapevine’s Clock Tower figures reflect the Western lore that many visitors from outside Texas find interesting and entertaining. The debut was featured as part of the dedication of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Headquarters and Museum Complex during the City’s 28th Annual Main Street Days festival.

Das ist auf dem Papier dieselbe Nominierung wie in 2012, jedoch sind die Gummimischungen dieser Saison weicher und bieten mehr Performance. Außerdem wurde die Konstruktion der Reifen noch einmal verändert. Die neuen Slicks kombinieren die Struktur der Reifengeneration aus 2012 mit den aktuellen, softeren Gummimischungen der Saison 2013. Vergangene Woche testeten die Teams diese neuen Reifen erfolgreich auf der Strecke in Silverstone und sammelten dabei ausgiebig Informationen. Auf dem engen und kurvigen Hungaroring ist die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit niedrig, ein Faktor, der Abrieb und Verschleiß maßgeblich beeinflusst. Beim Rennen in Ungarn kam es in der Vergangenheit eher seltener zu Regenfällen, für diesen Fall stehen den Teams der Intermediate Cinturato Green sowie der Regenreifen Cinturato Blue zur Verfügung.

Many women don't realize aging makes heart disease likelier. To combat this problem, teams from Brookdale senior living communities nationwide are fanning out to personally alert women 65 and over to their increased risk and provide resources to fight it. The company hopes to reach 10,000 older women through “10,000 Heart to Hearts,” beginning Feb. 1.
“Cardiac disease kills more women than all cancers combined,” said Brookdale chief medical officer Kevin O'Neil, M.D., F.A.C.P. “On average, women develop heart disease 10 years later than men, with their first heart attack occurring at age 70.”

The new edition of the Habanos Festival will feature an outstanding international musical line-up. For five whole days, from the 29th of February to the 4th of March, this annual event dedicated to Habano cigars will gather more than 1,500 attendees from over 50 countries that will discover this year’s major launches in an exclusive and inspiring setting.
The Welcome Event, dedicated to the Hoyo de Monterrey Reserva Cosecha 2012, will have Alexander Abreu, renowned trumpet player, composer and winner of a Latin Grammy, and his group Havana D’Primera to close the evening.
