There’s a lot of stuff to do every day. Yep, no news there. Getting through it all is part of our everyday routine. But for many people, getting things checked off the to-do list, and taking care of the people around us, is something we take pride in. It’s good to feel a sense of accomplishment when the day is done. To celebrate “owning the everyday,” just in time for Almond Day on February 16, California Almonds has launched a new campaign with the tagline, “Own Your Everyday, Every Day.” The campaign applauds busy people who get stuff done. The first in a series of TV ad spots is now live, airing on NBC during the Olympics, and features a smart, almond-snacker mom who creatively motivates her kids. Future ads will humorously highlight other common, everyday moments where almond snackers “own it.” To view the multimedia release go to: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8274251-california-almonds-ownyoureveryday-almond-day-campaign/

Together with comedienne Heather McDonald, Kotex Natural Balance, from Kimberly-Clark Corporation, is asking women to stand up and share their thoughts about what’s real and what’s not so real about the claims, innovations and storylines they see in today’s feminine care advertisements. Starting May 7, McDonald will star in a new web video series on the Kotex Natural Balance Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/kotex) and YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/kotexvideos) that calls out the jargon in the category (what does nano-breeze maxi pad technology even mean?) and invites women to join in the conversation. Women can upload their videos and comments on the Kotex Natural Balance Facebook page to let McDonald and Kotex Natural Balance know what’s real and what’s not. Their submissions will help inspire five more videos starring McDonald and influence material for a live Stand Up For What’s Real comedy tour that will visit major cities later this year. McDonald will perform live at select stops. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://www.multivu.com/mnr/56082-kotex-heather-mcdonald-web-video-comedy-series-feminine-care-ad-jargon

As Child Passenger Safety Week wraps up, the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is launching a new Car Seat Finder Tool, adding the ability to look up car seat recalls on its mobile app, and reminding parents and caregivers to register their child's car seat through its new campaign – “Don't Delay. The largest candy-consumption night of the year is right around the corner. More than 80 percent of parents say their kids will participate in a Halloween celebration (2), and when asked about concerns related to Halloween, more than two-thirds of parents say they are worried about their children’s teeth, according to a recent Ad Council survey (1). However, three out of four parents report that their kids sometimes or frequently forget to brush their teeth on a daily basis. With cavities being a top concern, the Kids’ Healthy Mouths campaign is celebrating National Brush Day® on Sunday, November 1, the day after Halloween, to emphasize the importance of brushing for two minutes, twice a day, every day. To view the Multimedia News Release, go to http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7676151-kids-healthy-mouths-ad-council-brush-day/ (1), (2) The Ad Council’s survey was conducted by LightSpeed Research in September 2014. The nationally representative online survey included 600 parents with children 0-12.
