More than 17,000 women volunteers will come together starting Saturday in their local communities to help build or improve affordable homes alongside future homeowners as part of Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s 10th annual National Women Build Week. With the help of Lowe’s Heroes volunteers, they will build or improve 600 Habitat homes in nearly 50 states in just one week.
Lowe’s helped launch National Women Build Week in 2008 to empower women with construction skills and give them a platform to tackle affordable homeownership in their communities.

As the country celebrates the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, Dallas-based nonprofit Earth Day Texas gears up for its fifth annual event. Founded in 2011, the organization expects more than 75,000 attendees during the three-day event.
Earth Day Texas takes place April 24, 25 and 26 at historic Fair Park in Dallas.
Confirmed speakers include Karenna Gore, author and daughter of Al Gore; Bill White, former mayor of Houston; David Yarnold, president of the Audubon Society; Dan Patrick, Lt. Carowinds, the premier entertainment destination of the Carolinas, is gearing up for the most exciting season ever, with the debut of the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster, Fury 325 on Saturday, March 28.
Fury 325 will simulate the wild, daring and spontaneous flight of the hornet. Riders will board one of three 32–passenger open air trains and begin their ascent to the top of a 325–foot tall hill (over 30 stories) followed by an initial 81–degree first drop. The train then races through a series of hills, curves and quick transitions while reaching speeds of up to 95 miles per hour along 6,602 feet of track.

A year following the award-winning debut of its first original travel experience programming, Carnival Corporation & plc(NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world’s largest leisure travel company, today announced at the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Global Convention that its hit series have been extended for a second season on ABC stations and NBC.
