With a bouncy boyish playfulness, and heartfelt yearning, the Steeples ‘Loosy Lucy’ takes us to a familiar heartache of a past relationship when the grass seems greener. Their sincerity is balanced with a jovialness that results in an upbeat pop song, saving us from an unwanted adolescent angst or depressing dirge. There is a certain romantic charm to these boys as they sing of their despair that will leave Lucy’s everywhere flocking to their next gig.
With ‘Album of the Month’ in Maxim and ‘Single of the week at Xfm’ they have already created quite a buzz with their pretty boy looks, cheeky northern accents and great indie pop riffs. Kildare Village was the setting for a truly Chic Summer Tea Party, hosted by internationally celebrated British model and muse Daisy Lowe to mark the launch of the Chic Summer Festival.
International guests, including many of Dublin’s elite were treated to the ultimate Summer Tea Party complete with floral-inspired cocktails, candy-coloured macaroons and mini cucumber sandwiches. Mismatched gilded frames with floral collages decorated the walls, while white picket fences and vintage china created the perfect garden party setting.

How about the Great Texas Mosquito Festival in Clute, Texas? For 36 years, thousands of people have gathered at the yearly celebration along the gulf coast of Texas; a place known for thirsty mosquitoes, biting ants and other persnickety pests.
