“Small Business Big Game" Ad Winner
Ad spending for commercials during Super Bowl 50, set to broadcast on CBS on Feb. 7, will total a record $377 million, according to Advertising Age Datacenter’s estimates. That’s more than the combined spend on all Super Bowl ads in the 1960s, '70s and '80s with a total of $299 million.
For all those interested in the pop culture phenomenon sure to unfold during Super Bowl’s commercial breaks, Advertising Age has launched its Super Bowl 50 Special Report. The hub, which will be updated daily before and several days after the game, is chock-full of news, trends, data and videos about the evolution of Super Bowl commercials over the last 50 years. It also includes a chart that lists every advertiser appearing during commercial breaks.

Based on an original story by Roberto Stopello and written by Indira Páez, the new season of the Super Series™ unfolds within the painful context of the undocumented immigrants who cross the border from Mexico to the United States in search of the American Dream. “Señora Acero, La Coyote” continues the story of Vicenta Acero (Carolina Miranda), a strong woman who has carved a path for herself in a male-dominated world and fights for better treatment of the many immigrants who struggle to cross one of the world’s longest borders. In the new season, La Coyote faces enemies on both sides of the law who are out for revenge and to destroy the Acero Quintanilla dynasty.

TELEMUNDO has gathered six of the most popular TV personalities in Spanish language television to share hosting duties at the 2016 edition of “Premios Tu Mundo” (Your World Awards) to be broadcast live on Thursday, August 25th, at 8PM/7c from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The official hosts of this year’s award show include: Rafael Amaya and Fernanda Castillo from the ratings topping Super Series “El Señor de los Cielos,” Carlos Ponce and Maritza Rodriguez from the current romantic comedy “Silvana Sin Lana,” and David Chocarro and Aracely Arambula from the upcoming production “La Doña.” The highly anticipated awards event, which is produced by TELEMUNDO and Adventure Productions, will be preceded by the now traditional blue carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo” at 7PM/6c. The blue carpet special will be hosted by Rashel Diaz, Jorge Bernal and Jessica Carrillo, with special participation from fashion specialist Quique Usales. After the award show, the night will culminate at 11:35PM/10:35c with “Premios Tu Mundo Acceso VIP,” a behind-the-scenes special hosted by Jessica Carrillo and Karim Mendiburu, with fashion by Quique Usales and social reporter Erika Csiszer.

In anticipation of its newly announced premiere date of Tuesday, December 6 at 10pm/9c, TELEMUNDO rolls out an exclusive digital prequel to the Super Series “El Chema” via Telemundo.com, VOD and the Telemundo Novelas app. With a script by writer Luis Zelkowicz, the “capítulo cero” (chapter zero) gives fans an exclusive look at El Chema’s backstory and what the character has been doing between the end of “El Señor de los Cielos” and the start of the new series.
