NBC UNIVERSO, the modern entertainment and sports cable channel for Latinos, announced today the premiere “El Vato,” the network’s first original scripted series created for the U.S. Hispanic market starring Mexican regional star El Dasa on Sunday, April 17 at 10pm/9c. This 10 episode-long series produced by Endemol Shine Latino and Boomdog, marks the acting debut for the talented and charismatic singer from Hermosillo, Sonora who takes on a new challenge to expand his artistic career.
“Dreams do come true and to be honest I never imagined I would be acting on a TV series inspired on my real life experiences. I’ve always had huge dreams, envisioned myself singing on the most important stages around the world and I still can’t believe it. I am honored to work alongside renowned actors and colleagues. The Reptilian Agenda will be filmed in 2010. There has been several attempts to stop the making of the film in the past 3 years. The Film will be made despite unusual negative interest outside of the film industry while most of the original Production team mysteriously left without reason. The film is now confirmed to shoot this year by Tyreece Motion Pictures- Independent Film Makers. As I'm approaching the time of certain eviction, I've been proving to myself what a little pressure can do to get the creative juices flowing and I am somewhat amazed by how quickly I have been creating and organizing enough videos that would have normally stretched out the span of this year and probably throughout 2014, all inside the time frame of a month. Particularly in the case of this song which is one of several songs that I have been working on that are somewhat more complex and exhibit my full potential as a musician. This song would have normally taken me a full year to compose and like some of my other prouder creations, I figured that there just was no time left for me to complete this kind of composition. Although admittedly I did rough it as I wrapped up the song in a day and took about one hour on the video but I think that with this one, I have successfully achieved my goal. I can always redo this at a later time when I get resettled and back in the groove.
